Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I've just sent off my order, and should start drinking some of my stash to make room for the new stuff. Were that life was always so difficult... BTW, on the chance that the LCBO once again cannot be arsed enough to send out an invoice, could you please be so kind as to post a PO number for this ord...

Not sure if it is rebranded product, but it is really, really lousy beer. Just a wee wisp of flavour, and nothing else. Blah!

Alright... I know I'm going to sound pretty stupid right now but what's the best way to get the forms to Sylvia? I'm also not too clear on which fields to fill out on the order form. Quickest way would be to fax 'em in; I assume the number is still 416-365-5934. You could also mail things in to Syl...

That beer is imported into Ontario by Esprit Agencies. You can contact the proprietor through his BarTowel persona, "esprit", or through this page on BarTowel . Crikey!!! That's a page full of out-dated material; either PM esprit here on the Towel, or email him at espritagencies [at] symp...

Actually, if you include this post, just under 20% of the posts came after the move. Still, this forum is a good idea, and perhaps the Great Divide threads should be moved over here for historical purposes.

I believe the Chocolate Stout is just a seasonal release ie., winter. Michael Jackson has spoken highly of it and their Brown Ale. The Black Chocolate Stout is a very nice beer; thanks to Stephen's info above, I've started the process of getting a quote for some. Should anything come of it, I'll be...

Glad to hear patience has its rewards -- got a few in my cellar as well.

Re: I'm new at this

Thanks for the info. Is there an estimated delivery date to Toronto so I can decide whether to pick it up there (end of November, ideally at the Queens Quay LCBO) or get it sent to Ottawa? I'd be more than a little shocked if anything showed up by then; I'm assuming I won't see any HotD until Janua...

No, you'll just have to wait a bit longer until your order is transfered to the local LCBO of your choosing.

Peter, I see that the Dead Guy has started hitting the LCBO shelves, and so assume that the Rogue private order is in the warehouse, but would appreciate an update as to the status of the order when you get the chance.

It really IS time to shake up the LCBO beer purchasing policy autocracy... Let's not be short-sighted here; it's time to shake up all LCBO purchasing departments. I've heard whisk(e)y drinkers whine, I've heard wine drinkers ... uhm ... bemoan, but I've not seen a concerted effort to affect the Boa...

Drink it at cellar temperature in a brandy snifter--and I wait for a cold, damp night. It's not really a bbq beer. Egged on by some sadly o'ercome by sangria, I poured a bottle of the '95 vintage, at cellar temperature, for the recent (and therefore sober) comers to my bbq. Kindest review matched m...

While I prefer the size of the can, I've always favoured the bottle for sheer flavour. In an ideal world, I'd have the choice of both, but I guess that only comes around at Christmas time. At least Loblaws, with their bbq sauce, is helping to keep the bottle alive...
