LCBO# Description Size (mL) 21061 Chimay Grande Reserve Barrel Aged - Calvados 750 397695 New Holland Dragon's Milk 650 572081 Founders Breakfast Stout 355 Have I missed these, or have they not dropped yet? There's a Founders Porter that mentions Graham Crackers on the label at one of my local LCBO...

St. Ambroise Baltic Porter It's been a long time since I saw St. Ambroise beers at the LCBO. Today they had the Pumpkin Ale and this Baltic Porter which I'd never heard of from this brewery before. Very strong tasting, almost jarring - licorice, roast, and, yes, alcohol - when you haven't had a stro...

Re: Best Ontario pilsners
While I prefer Jever I also found myself drinking Pilsner Urquell more this summer... probably because it's in my local lcbo instead of having to order Jever online. If you are near a Sobey's grocery store check there as Jever is always available - and cheap! - at my local Sobey's. I don't think I'...

Re: State of US beer industry.
Anchor Brewing of San Francisco is shutting down. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/anchor-steam-beer-going-out-of-business-san-francisco-rcna93902 They produced two of the beers that got me away from macros - Anchor Steam & Liberty Ale. Just last week when walking around TBS looking for some...

Re: Surprisingly good beer from TBS
St Ambroise Pale Ale (with the gold label) was one of my first beer loves that helped get me away from macros as it had a unique taste - nothing at all like the pale ales we have today. It used to a regular for me until maybe 2010 or so when I guess I got bored with it. Would love to try it again bu...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Has anyone seen Collective Arts Saint of Circumstance lately? Neither my local TBS, LCBOs, or supermarkets have had it for what seems like half a year now. Even on the Collective Arts website it is one of the beers that doesn't have a "Shop Now" link for ordering suggesting it is no longe...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Alla Caccia (On The Hunt) from Lake of Bays. Billed as a "Crisp Dry Pilsner" - which it certainly is - and an "Italian Style Pilsner" which I don't think is a thing but I could be wrong. Anyway, this is like nothing I've tried before and so I'm probably more impressed than I sho...

Zundert 10 (Quadrupel) from the town of the same name in the Netherlands. Normally priced $4.95 (330ml) it was $3.50 at my local LCBO.

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Lickinghole Creek Sunflower Saison from Virginia.
Good on the LCBO for getting this fairly rare beer in. That said at $11.95 (750ml) I probably won't be buying too many.
Speaking of saisons I miss the Left Field one. I haven't seen it in a couple of years now. That was my favourite.

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
Since Founders is being mentioned...anyone know if PC Pils will be back this summer? It just says product discontinued at the website. When it came along near the end of last summer, maybe early September, it became my only regular pilsner until the local LCBO ran out around November. Tons of PC Pi...

Re: Beer in Grocery Stores
Anyone notice price differences between the grocery stores and LCBO/TBS? The other day I bought some Side Launch Pale Ale and DAB (Dortmunder) - both 500ml - at Sobey's. I think I glanced at the prices below the cans before picking them up but didn't notice any price difference from the LCBO where I...

Re: Beer in Grocery Stores
Beer & cider finally came to my local Sobey's. I just stumbled upon the beer fridge whilst looking for frozen pizzas unaware that they now sold alcohol. The fridge area at the end of aisle had only six packs, mostly Coors/Molson etc plus Samuel Adams. I figured knowing how things work in Ontario...
