Cask-in-a-Box
I've ordered the 4L cask boxes from Granite many times, usually in the summer. The Best Bitter and Hopping Mad are both great in these. Pretty sure only Volo and Granite have them. (Neither have any in stock right now.) Am I overlooking anyone else who might have cask beers that they'd be filling in...

Re: Down to my last bottle of Boon Gueuze
Too funny. Not sure who the importer of Boon is. LCBO had the Kriek not long ago, so might be able to track down that way...? Vitriol in Quebec brings in Boon. Off-ish topic...had a 40 year old beer once (not a lambic). It was actually quite enjoyable. Hmm, probably posted about it on here back in t...

Re: Nickel Brook Brewing
I used to drink more Nickel Brook as well. I'd mostly go to stock up on their root beer, and then grab a mix of some other stuff that was available at the time. The Kentucky Bastard would always draw me in too. I don't really get excited by their newer offerings, and their overall branding now. Oh w...

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer
The two best NA brews I've had recently were both Red Ales.
One from Toolshed in Alberta, one from Brasseur de Montreal.
Just another one of those styles that seems to work better than others in NA form. (To me at least)

Re: What're you drinking right now?
I'm only drinking NA beers for 100 days, lol. Had Chester from Bazaar recently, an NA Berliner weisse with black currants. It was quite good! Grabbed the new Swoon stout from Burdock, and picked up Nickel Brooks NA beer to try soon. Bazaar is pretty great. Gimmicky dessert beers are the future of N...

Re: What's Your Favourite Ontario West Coast IPA?
I like the sounds of this one from Sawdust City...anyone tried it yet?
Wayback Playback - West Coast IPA - Citrusy and floral. This West Coast IPA has a bold hop aroma that packs a bitter punch. It finishes dry and crisp.

Re: Breweries closing and/or restructuring and/or bought out
I never managed to try any Cassel beers. it does feel a bit weird having Ontario breweries open and close without having ever sampled their goods.

Re: Red Tape Brewery
Has anyone used Red Tape to brew a custom beer? Anyone have an idea on pricing? Just curious. $1,200 for 100 cans. https://shop.redtapebrewery.com/collections/gift-card/products/bespoke-beer-gift-card-1 Ah cool. Good to know! I imagine they have different options if you contact them, but this is he...

Re: Alcohol regulation changes
Interesting.
The only brewery I've successfully ordered from out of province is PEI Brewing / Gahan. Them and Upstreet Brewing both have "two" online shops.
One shop for in-province / local purchases, and another for orders from the rest of Canada.

Sounds interesting!
I rarely drink lambics anymore, because of the insane pricing.
Regular beers are getting pricey as it is.

I think I'll have to do a taste test for WC IPAs and WC DIPAs when I finish my current non-alcoholic binge, lol.

Those GLB deals sound pretty good.
Walked by Something in the Water (still haven't tried their stuff), and they had a sign for $6 beers from 4-6 any weekday.

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer
I'd have to agree Jazz Hands is still one of the best I've tried and has the most complex hop profile, as well as being the most convincing. I tried Collective Arts NA IPA the other night and that one was lemony. Woo boy, like lemon drops. I did like it overall, but as I drank it I started to get a...

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer
On the NOLO fest, I thought Jazz Dance was mediocre. It was tasty, but had that lemony taste that a LOT of non-alcoholic IPAs have and starts to feel generic over time. I've tried probably about 300 NA beers, and have another 50 or so here to go through in the coming months, and that is one thing I...
