They did that on purpose? Dude, WTF is wrong with people from Burton On Trent?

But as someone else noted, it got better when it got warm.

I'm drinking this now and I'm pretty disappointed. When I poured it, I thought it smelled a bit skunky* and it tastes as you'd expect from the smell, but with a definite hop bite. I wasn't a huge fan of the Greene King, but I thought it was a pretty decent beer. I won't be buying this one again. *I ...

I was both intrigued and preparing for the worst when their "stout" came out. I'd like to try this just to try it though.

Is it a fairly common thing among craft brewers to deliver personally to the stores? Yeah pretty common. Hockley, Amsterdam, Neustadt, Mill Street, Railway City, Grand River and even Creemore deliver to my store personally. And many others do to! Hrm, I guess that has to do with them not being allo...

I think ErkLR's point is that the Kichesippi doesn't have any mention at all of Heritage or S-I. So rather than having info about the three brands scattered over three sites, they have all point to a single site that only mentions one of the brands. Greg wins a brick of cheese! * To me, it seems we...

Switching to my store means that you have to shop with the breakfast club Heh I was in the York/Ridout LCBO at about 9:50am on the way to work last week and the woman in front of me bought a 40 of Vodka that went directly into her purse. Her rapport with the bearded lady made me think this was a re...

Just tell her to shut the f up and know her role. Why would you even shop at that Elitest LCBO? It is all rich people out there. The only customers I give a hard time to is most of them since I love them all so much. Especially the annoying ones. And there aren't ANY of those. Ever. Seriously. They...

I can't recall being at a bar that only poured up to the line, especially one that was accurate enough to measure one mL. Really, I doubt that shot glasses are marked to within +/- 1 mL, not to mention how quickly the bartenders are working. From what I recall, most places I go free-pour until the s...

I've had a couple interesting experiences with this. A couple years ago while visiting Ottawa, (when they still had the cardboard boxes for your own mix-match 8's), I grabbed a couple bottles from open-top boxes and stuck them in. The guy at the counter politely told me something to the effect of &q...

That depends how close to an election the prices go up. But this is really a case of it being no one's fault, oh well, things suck sometimes. If I were the LCBO/Beer Store, I'd post informational posters when this happens. Then again, I'd guess the "Big 10" at TBS won't be affected.

The thing I'm interested in them changing is allowing smaller breweries to get together to share shipping costs to farther parts of Ontario. Is this something that is currently on the table? I didn't even realize there was regulations against this. Although I did wonder why no breweries ever though...

there jerkyness is usually controlled by the price of beer at these events. This is why I can't make myself care about this tent issue. Whether I have to keep it in a tent or not, I don't want to pay $5-7 for a cup of Blue/Bud/Keith's/Canadian/Coors. The thing I'm interested in them changing is all...

In terms of allergies, I think it's totally unnecessary because anyone 19+ would know 99% of beers have gluten. On the other hand as pointed out in the comments in the GaM article, the line "Everyone knows what's in beer" is BS for most of the large brewers. I think they'd be worried to ha...
