That's cool to see, but the conflation of "methane" and "natural gas" makes me want to rage.

I had the 3 pack at Xmas, the Canadian and Highland casks, as well as the triple-matured last winter. I liked them all, but I haven't had them close enough in time to really notice the differences in flavours.

I'm surprised by your assertions Gary. I was under the impression that the 2L bottle of Wells for 8.95 was on the same level as Colt 45 in terms of quality. Could you provide a more in-depth description of the Wells IPA? I'm quite curious. I'm not much of one to give tasting notes, so I'll just say...

Where's the option for "Don't realize you're still holding a beer, and pour it on yourself in a sleepy haze, followed by excessive cursing."?

I would be sad to see any of the S/I brands go (except for maybe the seasonals), they were all good beers when they weren't infected. I was happy that S/I recently expanded into regularly shipping to London, I hope you will continue that. But whatever you do, you need to get the infection problem un...

Re: The Brewer's Market

Equipment wise, the only items the brewer really needs to supply are a couple larger pots, a mesh strainer or colander, and ideally a funnel as well. Everything else (including a grain bag for the 5 gal kit) is included in the kits. How large are "larger" pots? I'd be disappointed to orde...

"Premium" is such a worthless word when applied to a product these days, but especially beer. It's like "heavy duty" batteries, you know it means the opposite.

For anyone in London, the Masonville LCBO just got their shipment in in the last couple days. There were 50-60 bottles left on the shelf as of closing tonight.

This ruling is just keeping good beer out of Ontario as more non-Ontario brewers give up on sending us their products due to excessive labeling hassles. I agree this is a silly regulation, however it's not Ontario only, it's a Health Canada regulation so it would be Non-Canadian, Non-EU brewers who...

I found it painful to watch that as I don't think the "lounge act" thing is a shtick, I just think he's that bad. The middle-part "comb-over" shows it to be true, I think. I'm hoping that this means he won't be making any more commercials. I've read news reports saying he ran Ste...

From the first clip, regarding the closing of other plants with the addition of this new one "two minor, small plants which only made draft beer which has become completely out-moded."

Heh, every bar I've ever been to must be more than 50 years behind the times.

I think they are making a couple assumptions like macros are pasteurized and contain preservatives, while micros aren't. As well, they are probably assuming a regular strength lager or pilsner. So with those assumptions, yes I can see that. I've stored Millstreet Barley Wine and Corne du Diable unde...
