Re: Great Lakes

The 2010 West Coast IPA was amazing.

Re: Third Moon Brewing

They are excellent. Better than most, if not all, the other high end IPAs.
I have ordered 3 times now. Easy pickup in Milton on a Saturday.

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Rodenbach Classic in 500mL cans. $3.10 I noticed the new listing, but totally missed that it was in a can. I never got around to picking this up, and the listing is now gone. Often if ...

Re: Fairweather Brewing

Agree wholeheartedly with these recent assessments. These guys are nailing it, with hoppy beers and sours. Nice space for drinking and sampling You can go for a hike on The Rail Trail, very close by. As a Mississauga beer lover, I can make the drive to Bellwoods Hafis location or come here for top e...

Re: Winnipeg?

Just returned from a week in Winnipeg. Most bars have a similar selection of craft on tap, including Half Pints, Little Brown Jug, Torque, etc. I stayed downtown; there are several good spots- The King's Head ( on King ) and the Yellow Dog Tavern, just behind the Burton Cummings Theatre. Even The El...

Re: Redline Brewhouse - Barrie, ON

I have just had their newest release, "Rainbow in the Dark". It's a Winter Rye IPA, with 61 IBU, 6.6%
Excellent beer, very tasty.

Available at the brewery, in cans and on tap.

Re: Buffalo NY - what to see and explore?

A couple of new additions to the Transit Rd ( Clarence ) beer scene; these two are north of Pizza Plant, across the road from each other. The Griffon Gastropub 100 craft beers on tap, quite a diverse selection, with a big NY State representation. This is the 2nd locatio...

Anderson Valley Heelch o Hops

It's really interesting how palates differ. I found the hops in Heelch to be pretty muted (stale) in both aroma and flavour with a very broad, malty backbone taking center stage. Happy it's in the LCBO, though. My guess is that it depends on how much malt flavour you like in a DIPA. I was skeptical...

Karma Citra vs Monogamy Citra

Karma Citra:6.5%
Monogamy Citra: 6.4%

Both wonderful, if you're a fan of Citra hop.

Tallboys ( Bloor & Ossington ) has cans of this. I had one this afternoon. Wow! It's also on draft at Indie Ale House and others Very smooth, with a great nose! 5 types of hops. Much better than Lone Pine. I love my regular brewery sources in the GTA and Burlington, but this one leaves the rest ...

Cameron's RPA

I stopped by the brewery in January.
All 6-packs were labelled H1914 ( August ?)
I bought one anyway, silly me. The beer was well past it's prime.

I emailed them to express my disappointment. No response.

RPA is off my list until I see some really fresh stuff.
