Re: Nickel Brook Brewing

I am still a big fan of NickelBrook IPAs.
As far as WCIPAs go, Headstock is still great.
Winter Wizard was excellent. Uncle Goose pretty good too.

They have a very nice taproom in Burlington ( Mainway, west of Walkers )

I am curious about the BB dates on Fat Tug, with respect to freshness.
When would this Jun 18 batch have been canned?

I am really enjoying this year's Lake Effect - has not been a favourite of mine over the past few iterations, but this year's is wonderful

They are excellent. Better than most, if not all, the other high end IPAs.
I have ordered 3 times now. Easy pickup in Milton on a Saturday.

Re: Fairweather Brewing

Agree wholeheartedly with these recent assessments. These guys are nailing it, with hoppy beers and sours. Nice space for drinking and sampling You can go for a hike on The Rail Trail, very close by. As a Mississauga beer lover, I can make the drive to Bellwoods Hafis location or come here for top e...

Re: Winnipeg?

Just returned from a week in Winnipeg. Most bars have a similar selection of craft on tap, including Half Pints, Little Brown Jug, Torque, etc. I stayed downtown; there are several good spots- The King's Head ( on King ) and the Yellow Dog Tavern, just behind the Burton Cummings Theatre. Even The El...

A couple of new additions to the Transit Rd ( Clarence ) beer scene; these two are north of Pizza Plant, across the road from each other. The Griffon Gastropub http://www.thegriffonpub.com/ 100 craft beers on tap, quite a diverse selection, with a big NY State representation. This is the 2nd locatio...

Anderson Valley Heelch o Hops
