The Bar Towel

The Heart and thistle has alright food, but good beer. Never been to the gastropub in the valley, but have been meaning to take a drive down. I also like Rogue's roost here, don't hear much about it, but it's good.

In Halifax I'd have to say to head over to The Henry House to grab some great food and a couple of Granite pints. The garisson brewery is just around the corner so it is a great spot to eat before/after a trip to the brewery.

As a Haligonian I'm not impresssed with this decision at all. I get the cost savings, but I don't get ripping the heart out of the brand. I think Brew Dog is amazing, but back on topic... Apparently the NSLC won't carry anything over 12%. This is ridiculous because they will carry Bacardi 151 (75%), and I will do a whole lot more damage if I drink that whole thing. I'm down in Halifax, but really want to get my hands on some of the great craft beers in Ontario. I had heard that you can't ship across provincial borders. Is that true, and if so, anyone have any suggestions on how I can get these beers?b
