I saw the Scottish Ales gift pack at my local LCBO recently. I was surprised since I know they usually start coming out in late October.

I've only ever tried the Balvenie Doublewood 12 Years. I was blown away by it, but other people say that it's just average. But everyone does seem to agree that it is a good bargain and great for those new to single malts.

I guess it's because we've already tried it countless times and we always crave something new.

I think the bottle pictured on ratebeer is the 750 ml one. It's just my guess. I'm also itching to try this one out, just waiting until some arrive in 'Sauga.
