I saw the Scottish Ales gift pack at my local LCBO recently. I was surprised since I know they usually start coming out in late October.

What's this? A bujabanton post that doesn't flame for once. Haha, I just happened to pick up a sixer of the Dogfish today just when the LCBO were about to close. I still have yet to try it, but when I tasted the ST a few months back, I was really blown away by it. The ST is going to be hard to beat ...

I've only ever tried the Balvenie Doublewood 12 Years. I was blown away by it, but other people say that it's just average. But everyone does seem to agree that it is a good bargain and great for those new to single malts.

I'm hearing good and bad things about this one, but more good (for Trafalgar). I might try it some day, but I still feel strongly about not supporting this brewery. Maybe this beer is the beginning of better stuff from them? You should try it as soon as possible, as time does bad things for this br...

How you pour has nothing to do with the level of carbonation. I'm not sure about this, but I think I've read somewhere that if you pour aggressively it releases more carbonation therefore the beer in the glass becomes less carbonated. The temperature you drink the beer at also affects the carbonati...

So I travel all the way to the Wilson and Dufferin LCBO in North York hoping to grab a few bottles of each of the new releases. When I come home though, much to my dismay, I find that I'm missing the Orval, the one beer that I was really hoping to try. Argh, how could I be so careless and forget to...

Yeah I had a bottle of La Fin Du Monde recently that I've been aging for over a year, and had a similar experience. When I first poured most of it, it looked like Duvel, then the yeast came, and it was actually darker than I remember it being. Very interesting. I already got a second bottle of the ...

I think the bottle pictured on ratebeer is the 750 ml one. It's just my guess. I'm also itching to try this one out, just waiting until some arrive in 'Sauga.

I may be getting off topic here, but is anyone aging any 666? I realize that it hasn't been around that long, but it seems a good candidate. Despite not being bottle conditioned. And forgive my ignorance, but can you even age canned beer? I was actually contemplating about doing that a while back. ...
