Re: Goose Island Black Friday & Bourbon County Stout

Anyone received an email in regards to being able to pick up their BCBS order yet? Still waiting. First year ordering so I'm not sure what the typical turnaround time is. No, not yet. I checked the last time I ordered BCBS online. In 2020 I ordered on Friday Nov. 27 and picked up my beer on Tuesday...

Re: 2020-2021 Winter Season at the LCBO

This sounds about right for ABInBev, where BCBS is likely a tiny drop in their massive bucket. But I guess these allocations don't cross the border where we drink a lot of macro too. IIRC LCBO got 570 bottles of BCBS total this year. 570 is more than they got in previous years. In 2017 and 2018 whe...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

This year's batch of Hellwoods is probably the best yet. Super silky, soft and full of chocolate and cherry somehow coaxed out of the malt. I always thought it was good, but a little overpriced. I think they reduced it $1 to $9 this year, probably because the latest Black Liquids is $10. Both stout...

Re: Downtown Toronto LCBO’s

Hey all: Due to five years out of the country, I’m out of the loop regarding selection at various LCBO’s. Will be in town on August 18th for the day. Is Summerhill the best bet for quality selection, or is there a better option within the area between Eglinton and Front and a few blocks in either d...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Has bellwoods sold any cans recently? Was that a one time thing? Nope, only at Witchstock last year and a couple times shortly afterward. Think it was just Witchshark, Jutsu and Cutting Bells...? They did a run of Roman Candle cans too. All the cans were great and wish they'd do all their core pale...

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives

I went on the website around 8:15am to get ready to start clicking refresh. It was already up with stock showing around 120. I put one of each in the cart and quickly checked out as all my info is saved in there. I went back to the product search page around 8:18am and Anna and Arthur were gone. Flo...

I emailed Founders about this back in February, about a year after KBS first hit the shelves. They told me it would be in the LCBO in late April/early May.

Well, its early May now.

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

Are there any plans for Barncat to start bottling or canning their pale ales that are always only available for growler/howler fills? It's hard for me to get out there, and I'm sort of weary of asking trading partners to ship me those things in the mail. Anyone have experience with shipping growler...

Re: LCBO Online Exclusives

Thanks for pointing this out. I just made an order particularly interested in Stillwater Insetto Sour and Moor Raw Beer (top rated bitter). I used Collective Arts new IPA Life in the Clouds to hit the $50 mark. The cans of Life in the Clouds I picked up yesterday were canned Dec. 22. Still tasted p...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I like Modern Times and made a point to visit them when I was in San Diego a couple years ago. I loved their Booming Rollers IPA. That being said, I think these three offerings are good but not great. Considering the price and canning date, I'd have a hard time buying them again considering what's r...

They sent out a newsletter earlier today. Hellwoods should be out Sat. Feb. 17th. It will feature a new label.

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

I'm down to my last bottle of last year's KBS. I emailed Founders asking if KBS would be back in the LCBO and received this response this morning. Thanks for your interest and support! We will definitely have KBS back at the LCBO this year. Timing will coincide more in line with the U.S. release so ...

Re: Wvrst to open on King West in TO

So, it WVRST King Street closing? It seems there was a tweet, since deleted, by WVRST that essentially said this, then some chatter about the King West pilot and business being down....Bar Hop jumped into the conversation. Anyone know what the deal is? I don't stop in that often....I like the place...

In a 500ml Bottle now too
I'm so glad this is back. It came out a couple weeks before KBS hit the shelves last year and I thought it was a bit better than KBS.

Re: Godspeed Brewery

Godspeed's collab with Brasserie de la Senne from the Witchstock weekend is out - Bière de Soif (Everyday Lager).

It's not really my jam, but if you've been trying Bellwoods' collabs from that weekend, maybe you'll want this too.
