Re: Cask Days 2017

Appreciate the replies.

I have tickets for Session 2 and 3.

Maybe not so bad solo if it's as busy as everyone says as I'll probably be standing in line most of the time anyways.

Re: Cask Days 2017

My friends flaked out at the last minute. Yay. I'm coming from out of town and because tickets and even my hotel are not refundable I'm still going to make the trip.

Any opinions on doing this fest solo?

I saw Buster Rhinos and The Wallace mentioned in this thread for having Stone on tap. Not sure if that meant regularly though. Anyone in the GTA noticing places that regularly have Stone or any other american craft on tap? When I visit Toronto, the bars I frequent for draught it's typically Ontario ...

I would have liked to but I only buy things that are readily available now. So many of these orders never go through. Or, they take many months and are through companies that really don't care about keeping people informed.

Have you gotten into it yet? Any opinions?

I've been told by a store manager (Sudbury, South) that corporate refuses to send many products to their store--even when I've specifically asked for things. I don't know if that was just another strategy to deal with a "pesky nuisance" though. I've resorted to using a smaller store that h...

I guess the writing has been on the wall for awhile now. The John St. location was one of the first beer bars I started frequenting in Toronto. I'm generally solo in this city and always felt comfortable at the bar. Even after the move to College I have gone out of my way to visit this place on 98% ...

I've tried all but the Angry Moose and I think I have to reserve my judgement until I've had them all directly from the brewery.

This one has proven much better from the growler so there could have been issues with the ones I've tried on tap.

Stack Brewing - Les Portes de L'Enfer

Considering the style, it's interesting to see a Bière de Garde being pushed in Growlers.

Nice to see a new Brewery in the North!

Is it cash only as you order each drink\food item or will they still run tabs for people?

I don't understand the hype on this one. I've had it as draught and from bottles (which I was told were fresh) and to me there wasn't anything special that would put it above 100's of other quality AIPA's. A very enjoyable beer but I could care less if I ever have one again. Maybe it wasn't as fresh...
