Thanks to everyone for coming out to yesterday's CASK! Social at the Victory. It was a great turn out, and we did some serious damage to the four casks on offer. I believe the pin of Cheshire Valley IPA emptied in about half an hour! Special thanks to the lovable George Eagleson and the F&M team...

As posted on the thread in Random Talk... For anyone who missed the Creemore Kellerbier launch at the Victory Cafe on Monday evening (or for those of you that REALLY liked it) the last remaining 50 litres of draught will be on tap tonight at the Victory. Once the keg has been emptied, that will be it.

Thanks to everyone who made it out on the crawl. I had a lot of fun meeting new cask ale fans as well as several old familiar ones as I made my way around the crawl. I would like to say that I was able to try each of the 20 cask beers that were available, but alas the event's popularity meant that s...

Neustadt Texas Tea Stout

I'm sure I'm not the only person in Toronto who's tried this, but I didn't notice any posts so I thought I'd start one. I had it on cask recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very pleasant hints of chocolate, but none too overpowering. Anyone who knows my (Irish) hubby knows he likes his stout... and ...

Had this last night at Volo..... good stuff and didn't disappoint. Look forward to the bottled version. Would like to try this on cask. Definitely worth trying this on cask... I had a pint of the cask version at C'est What a week or so ago and found it packed full of body and flavour. It's great to...

I thoroughly enjoyed this event. Went on Saturday with friends, and was amused to see so many familiar faces there from Ontario. My, we Ontarians are a thirsty lot! I too would have liked to see a few more lower alcohol beers in the selection, or perhaps the option of a smaller sample size to enable...

I asked George at C'est What about this... if tickets are not already sold out, you will be able to buy them at the door. Priority will be given to ticket holders over the 'at the door' purchasers.

I've purchased my ticket already.

Hope to see you there.

Neil and I have just booked our tickets for the bus trip. I'm really looking forward to this. I've never actually been to Cole's or Mr. Goodbar before, but I'm always up for a cask festival. :D

Just wanted to thank everyone who was able to come out and support us at the Victory's inaugural Summer Cask Ale Festival last Sunday. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, but also to welcome newcomers to cask conditioned ale. It was a great day, blessed with perfect weather. Building on ...

Actually, I found this year's canned Deuchar's much less pleasing than in the past when it was supplied in bottles. That was my opinion, anyway. Perhaps it was just a bit of an anticlimax for me... it's never going to taste as good as when drawn from the cask in a busy Edinburgh pub, is it? I think ...

Gordon, You are a veritable model of beer and athleticism. I like it. Anyway, I used be the overseas CAMRA contact for Toronto, and 'd be happy to share with you the information I would send to members travelling to Toronto in search of a good pint. I can e-mail this to you if you are interested. Re...
