Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Dare I say it - this is a tremendous list. 1845 is just about my all-time favorite (a list that includes no more than 20!)

Not only do the LCBOs in my area have a better selection of beer than the Beer Store, I also like the idea of being able to check to see if the beer I'm buying is coming off of a dusty shelf. I've purchased Unibroue and Wellington products from the beer store that were probably on the shelves for a ...

Re: Southern Tier IPA, the only good IPA?..

Hop Head, by Tree Brewing is quite good, but there's none left at the moment. I'd give Flying Monkey's Netherworld a try. Comes in an open six pack, so you can sample a single bottle before you buy the case. It's not exactly a traditional IPA (more like a hybrid of a West Coast IPA and Stout), but ...

Duggans CLosed

I may have missed a thread where this was discussed, but yesterday I met a couple friends for lunch at Duggans. We were greeted a sign from a bailiff and locked doors.

Too bad.[/img]

Brutal.

Liberty was always a great fallback - you know, a beer you grab when there's nothing new to sample. A beautifully made ale.

There were at least 2 dozen at the Wilson and Dufferin LCBO today - and that's after I loaded up.

It looks like a return to the classic Canadian TV of my youth.

Take the wit of Ralph Benmurgi combine it with the star power of Elwood Glover, add the celebrity guests and production values of "Party Game" and voila!

What other ego-driven ventures can this guy fail at?

Cheap Bills Tickets?

I'm taking my daughter to the Bills-Bears game on Sunday... she's a big sports fan and has never been to an NFL game. (I know, after Sunday, she still won't have seen a real game!) Anyway, I'd like to avoid the box office and scalpers if I could. Does anyone know of a place to get cheap seats for th...

Had a good time at the Beer Experience. Mrs. Rosko is a cheap date, so five samples sent her into the stratosphere. her favourite was the Cameron's Cream ale, while I was very impressed with the mill Street Rauchbier (and I hate the Schlerlenka classic version) and the Flying Monkeys' Smashbomb. I w...
