Re: The A to Z of it

A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir Here is a theoretically 'textbook' Pinot Noir for about $25 and still I'm truthfully not all that excited. It's perfectly fine, with good harmony and some nice acidity. It's my first Oregon Pinot Noir. There is black cherry and stuff. Some beetroot, some layering. What i...

Re: Show at Rebel Toronto...

Last time I was at rebel, we just spend the afternoon before hand at Barhop. It was about a 15 min Uber to the club....can’t remeber the $, far too drunk for that.

I’m pretty sure “Hazy state” is a new CA core beer.....

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Flying Monkeys Sparklepuff Triple IPA. This is the second time I have mentioned this beer but it’s worthy of reiteration. One of the best beers-non-Collective Arts category-currently being brewed in Ontario. Honestly, this beer wasn’t my thing. The 2 cans I bought were really nice and hazy.....not ...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

Not a bourbon drinker by any means, and this comment may seem ignorant, but what about hitting it with a tiny tiny splash of water like doing with a single malt scotch? ?

Re: Cowbell Brewing

Those prices do seem a bit extreme. What I’ve had from
Cowbell(through the lcbo) I’ve enjoyed quite a bit...actually a lot more than I thought I was going to. Haven’t had the chance to visit the brewery yet, although it looks like a great place. When I do, I’ll have to be sure and check the prices :o

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Fairweather Old soul-a perfectly balanced beer with layers on layers of flavours all carried by the perfectly carbonated silky smooth body. Fairweather Small hours-blackcurrent sour stout that was really good and unique. Fairweather Happy accident-can never go wrong with anything hoppy from Fairweat...

Re: Side Launch - Mountain Lager discontinued - WTF?

Can't say that I've ever been impressed by a Side Launch offering. Lately my fridge beer is 60% German-inspired Godspeed stuff, and I make sure a few cans of Side Launch Wheat are always in there too, it's a necessary staple. The Erdinger Weissbier tapped at Beer Bistro was also heavenly. Even unex...

Re: For All The Hopping Cretins

CA Surround Sound, liking this even more this time with the fullness and the rich resiny hops that have a lemon zest nuance. Some vanilla and tasty tropical fruit. Only a little peppery, and big DIPA palate with alcohol slightly warm as expected and suitable dry to balance the hefty malt bill. Pret...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Yeah I noted that about the Dunkel in the link of my last post, sorry to confuse. Collective Arts IPA #9. The problem with this series (and it’s a good one to have) is that the bar is quite high. This is a very good beer, but a bit lower than average for this series to my personal taste. I really l...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Some colleagues will occasionally gather after work on Friday at a local establishment. We did so today, and I started with Ransack the Universe. I love this beer. It is definitely one of my all time favourite IPAs. Afterwards, at home, I had an Exchange 'New England' IPA. My expectations were low ...

Glad to see he Brooklyn lager back. Also glad to see the Dad bod Pilsner make it to lcbo. Hopefully it’s a good sized batch. It would be great if it was a regular listing.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Last couple of nights: Barncat Battle Jacket iipa-it’s a barncat haze bomb...top notch, ‘buff said. Rhythm and Brews Bandwagon ipa-probably the best hoppy beer I’ve had from these guys. Big time ganja notes in this. Rhythm and Brews Festbock-not a fan of this, much too seeet for me, and seemed unbal...
