Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I'm glad to see Gaffel FINALLY coming to Ontario, although you can get it in SAQs since last summer. Don't compare Beau's LT to a real Kolsch. A great summer beer and reminds me of Koln. Now if Fruh, Sion and Kuppers would be available here... If you've never tried a Kolsch, try it... my $0.02 frosken

Although not in Ontario, but VERY close, Bar Bistro l'Autre Oeil in Aylmer (Gatineau), QC, across the river from Ottawa, HAS Trois-Pistoles on tap!

IIRC, there are only 2 or 3 places in Quebec where it is available.

All I can say about it is: WOW! :D

I've been jumping with joy for the last 2 weeks... FINALLY!!! Not only Kozel but now STAROPRAMEN in cans... I guess I should stop dropping by the LCBO buying only 6-8 at a time and bite the bullet to get a case...before they run out...again...(In some Ottawa locations) Now if only 'Czechvar' could d...

I got a response from HOTD regarding my negative e-mail about my cases (with pics): ***** Those are some pictures. I have never seen damage like that, looks like the trip was very hard. I have had work done on my capper, sorry for the disappointment. ***** Good luck getting 'anything' back from them...

The last pic is particularly ironic. The box reads "Hair of The Dog produces bottle conditioned beers which improve with age"...right below the massive mold spot from the leakage. Make sure you send the images to the brewery and make it clear to them that you (and others) aren't happy. Do...

Wow, thats disgraceful. I haven't participated in the private order sessions and after seeing the result of this particular one I must say that I won't be doing so anytime soon. Please don't anyone misunderstand me...I applaud the Bar Towelers that have led the way in these endeavours but to be stu...

I was in Pittsburgh (suburbrs) in August and the '24 minimum' law is still in effect. I brought back a case of Victory's Hop Devil... Although I went to a Steelers game and went to a trendy bar, they didn't have any 'good/interesting' stuff (beer wise...women on the other hand was a different story!...

Well...3 weeks after everybody else, I got a call from my local LCBO in Rockland and the manager delivered some (yet again) rather 'bad news'... After getting the first bad news that I only had 1 case of Fred (rather than 2) due to a 'broken case' upon reception in T.O., Now I learn that my case of ...

The big question is: why do you punish yourself like this? Especially if you knew the brands going in? "Let's see, it's between shit, shit, shit, shit and shit -- this should be fun". Could they have picked 5 worse beers? Hmmm... Yes... Steelback, Steelback, Steelback, Steelback...and Coo...

I went to my first 'Toronto beerfest' on Friday and...well... I was disappointed... Being used to the smaller 'Capital City beer fest' and the Montreal 'Mondial', my first impressions of the T.O. one was 'DISORGANIZED'... I walked from Union Station to the Fort's closest entrance to be turned back a...

The only thing I can say is that I did a little trek to Beers of The World in Rochester yesterday and my $228US order cost me $103CAD at customs... (OK, 93CAD as the shoes were about 10CAD)...
