The big question is, when will it be in stores? The LCBO website lists the product, but shows no inventory anywhere yet.

Got a chance to try an advance sampler of this tonight. Lots of chocolate aroma, lots. Then comes the chocolate flavour. So much in fact that it hides the dark side, 11%. I wouldn't put it in the trad "Imperial Stout" class, but it's typical of what FM does best. Off the wall, but damned g...

I've just put a cask of dry-hopped (Topaz) Smashbomb on. It's actually about 2/3 of a cask as it went up like a geyser when I first hit it, but now that it's been fined it's smooth as............with buckets of hop notes.

I tapped a pin of this fine ale this morning. It's a bit early for a pint, for me. However a quick sample, just to check, gave me all that I like about this beer without that sharp intake of breath on the first sip. Smoother that the cask or bottled versions I've tried.

Slight change of order, the Mad Tom didn't arrive until late last week, so I've had a MacLeans on stillage which will go on next. This will put an extra week of maturity on the Mad Tom, which won't do any harm at that IBU! But it's only a pin, not a firkin so don't miss it. Keep your eye on beermenu...

It's pulling Welly County cask right now. Coming soon, Welly SPA and Muskoka Mad Tom IPA (both cask of course).

Recently imported from the UK, we now have a liquid-cooled beer engine installed. This ensures that the beer in the cylinder stays at cellar temperature between pints. It also has a full "Northern" swan-neck and hand-turned creamer from Yorkshire, creating a pint just like they serve back ...

I've got it on tap right now, and it's a different beer to what Neustadt put out last year for OCB week. This is intentional, I visited the brewery last week and chatted with Andy about it.
