Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

The Arkell in bottles seemed a bit off too. Also one of my favourites. I didn't check the due dates on the bottles, but I don't think it was old. It had less flavour and now seemed to have a very tiny, but noticible hint of long-chain hydrocarbon (gasoline, detergent?). Maybe they're cutting corners...

Wow, this is one ridiculous thread. Firstly, welcome Letki! It's always good to have the attention of a brewmaster. Secondly, anyone who thinks that he can defend these attacks in this venue is stupid. If he said he took the job at SteamWhistle because of the money even though it comes at the expens...

Didn't the guys at cafe Brussels just pour it into a pan, heat it up and pour it back into the bottle? I think they mulled it rather quickly.

I did read this. I think it was in the national post.. Did beer news make the CP newswire?

I didn't care about about the carlsberg no much as the fact that I didn't know Moosehead owned a minority(?) share of McAuslin.

I'm definitely in (request sent by email as I type.) I'd like to see this an annual occurrence. I figure I can consume at least a case per month, so it might be possible to reach an economical price-point. Yes -- I am insane. If anyone else shares my insanity, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise I may go...

True as form, there seems to be a stash in Thunder Bay.

What's the chance this'll come back for the fall?
