Re: Portland, ME

Thanks for posting this up! I'm heading for a vacation to the Maine coast in a week, staying in Kennebunkport.

Have a brewery tour booked for Allagash, and have a Google Map of all the local breweries. Looks like there's lots to check out there!

I looked at the Beer Store's site and there's no more Stone listed in kegs. I guess they pulled out from a draught perspective?

Re: The Brewery Market

We've got a Brewer's Backyard in Collingwood on Sat., May 5th! A bit of a fun one-off but it should be a great event with a bunch of breweries from the Collingwood area & GTA.

If you're around Collingwood, come on by!

Re: New Orleans

Resurrecting an ancient thread!

Heading to NOLA for the first time ever this weekend. Any recommendations from the BT folks?

I've been in touch with a blogger down there so have a nice list going. Will post up findings after the trip!

Re: Bar Hop 2 (Peter St)

Looking forward to checking this out. As much as the east end has exploded for breweries, the "main" corridor of Danforth (Broadview to Pape-ish) never seemed to get anything. I realize there's Louis Cifer there, but it was never much of a cozy beer pub IMO. Nice addition!

Re: Lansdowne Brewery

Good to see this place is finally getting going. I knew one of the original guys who was a nice dude, not sure what happened to him. I can only imagine how aggravating it would be putting so much into something only to see it never quite materialize.

Re: Beer store being replaced by condo development

The Beer Store at Avenue Road & Bedford Park (north of Lawrence), which is down the street from where I grew up and literally there for as long as I can remember, is gone. Saw the last remains town down a couple weeks ago.

Re: Vermont

Interesting to hear about Vermont nowadays, although not totally surprised. I was amazed that HT & SOS maintained that level of frenzy for *so* long. Remember SOS started contracting out (at Four Roads I think) and of course Alchemist opened that new brewery. With the extra volume, new trendy pl...

Re: Wvrst to open on King West in TO

I was going to ask if WVRST or Bar Hop had said anything about the pilot. I did see that tweet (the one still live) so suspected they had an opinion on the situation, but not nearly as vocal as some of the others in the cheesy part of the strip. I just can't imagine that a decrease in vehicular traf...

That trek through upper New York state is always quite strange. It's like a part of the U.S.A. that has been left behind.

Alas I got to go thanks to a client back then, and that association has long since ended. I remember times fondly and wish to go back at some point. But sorry, no updates from me I'm afraid.

Re: Miami

There's lots of beer in the Wynwood area that has emerged in the last few years. One new place that I really enjoyed was Veza Sur. Within walking distance is also J Wakefield, Concrete Beach and Wynwood Brewing. You could easily spend all day and night wandering around the area. There isn't much bee...

Re: LCBO Spring 2018 Craft Beer Release

Anyone excited for the A La Fut? That is actually through my agency, which has been dormant for a while but resurrected when I began working with ALF. I realize that the price point is high - but it is a very expensive cost and of course the LCBO does not flex at all on its side when it comes to mar...
