Re: One of Canada’s biggest brewing equipment companies in receivership
This is bull#$t. Isn't anybody insured against such an up-front expense? Seems like a ludicrous risk, so where exactly did the money go, and who at the manufacturing co. saw this coming and said nothing? I don't know much about the brewery equipment business but I'd have a hard time putting up $800...

I would have reminded him of Drug Ford's buck-a-beer initiativesofakingdrunk wrote:It took he guy ringing it in, a solid 4 or 5 looks at his screen tnhen back to the 4 pack, then head scratching, to actually figure out that it wasn’t $4.65(or whatever it is) for the entire 4 pack.

Another listed, but with no stock yet, that I don't think was on any seasonal release list: Heir Apparant Mexican Spiced Imperial Stout that price can't be right, can it? under 4 bucks for an 11.5% imperial stout? :o puts most of the local beer prices to shame.... BUT given the discrepancy between ...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation
Looking to fill in the Xmas list with a bourbon or two. Something in the $50++ range. Currently enjoy Blantons, Weller and Eagle Rare. Suggestions? Larceny ($50) is a "wheated" bourbon along the lines of Weller Pikesville (pricier at $90) is a rye-heavy bourbon along the lines of Blanton'...

But I was curious about this one: http://www.vintages.com/lcbo-ear/vintages/product/details.do?language=EN&itemNumber=618991 Or if you want to go really fancy, there's an Orphan Barrel in the LCBO right now, but it's really pricey. Michters and its "founder" Joseph Magliocco has a sha...

Re: Collective Arts
Flying monkeys chocolate manifesto, for example, used to always be a 750 bottle, but now is in cans. Nope! was at the BO yesterday and, unless the bottles were from last year (difficult to tell with no dates), they are in fact 473ml bottles . (went down to the basement to double check size of last ...

Re: Collective Arts
Is anyone else rather annoyed at some of the special releases being sold in 4-packs only? They sell every other beer as singles so I don't quite understand the justification for only selling them in 4-packs, it certainly doesn't make it easier for the consumer. I know I buy less beer from CA as a r...

One year anniversary for these guys anot much love on here for these guys...as a Durham regioner I think it’s great to have them and Little Beasts in the scene and am a little saddened but not surprised at Brock St success...their beers are exactly in line with the macro tastes of this area I visit...

Head to head wet hop showdown. Bellwoods Bine Hunter 5.0% abv For sale on Oct 20 Amsterdam Autumn Hop 5.6% abv Canned Sept 21 I had these both recently too, and I agree that the Bine Hunter had more hop flavour. The Bellwoods info on Bine Hunter states that they use Fraser Valley hops. I don't know...

Whats the product number on the Spencer? I can’t find it in the system. You can find it at Speedvale lcbo(as of last Friday anyway) on shelves at various stores but not listed in the online system none of the "gift packs" are listed yet ... same happened last year. eventually the listings...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
So you take one sour employee's word (who was fired I guess and plays the typical race card because if you're not white you can't be canned) over the brewery? Like everyone that worked there was racist? Give me a break. Guilty until proven innocent in the beer world now too I guess. Or maybe there ...
