Re: Great Lakes Brewery - Octopus wants to fight
Agreed that those are the upper Of Ontario IPA. Also agree that the earlier Version of lake effect was the best(I'm thinking 2014 if I remember right), and until very recently the best Ontario IPA i had drank. Until passed by barncats's pulp. Octopus is tasty, but not on par with lake effect, thrus...

Re: Great Lakes Brewery - Octopus wants to fight
I'd go as far as saying this batch of Octopus is actually better then the last batch of Karma Citra. I'd ditto this. And of the last batch of Lake Effect for me too. For whatever reason the last batches of Karma Citra / Lake Effect were (quite) underwhelming, they just felt flat. No issues with thi...

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread
I'm more miffed that more beers like clutch aren't available to order online yet. I would have thought the e-commerce system (as the KGBO likes to call it) would have been perfect for breweries with small production & limited distribution. Apparently not! Seems like the system is only being use...

Re: Redline Brewhouse - Clutch American Pale Ale
Clutch is awesome, I love this beer. I check the can stamps each time in the LCBO and if it's reasonably fresh I always grab some.

Re: Common Good Beer Co.
I've had both the ipa and the dry hopped belgian. The ipa was quite malt forward which might appeal to some, but I'd really prefer more hops. The Belgian was quite thin and definitely needs some tweaking if they continue with it.

Re: Cask Days 2016
This year was my first time attending, had quite an excellent time. I can see the Friday afternoon session becoming tradition for me. It was definitely more my vibe. I had only sort of glanced and picked out a handful of casks I wanted to try, and was (obviously) able to. Although at one point selec...

Re: worst Ontario beer of 2015?
i know he posts here, but honest feedback's better than lying oh god oh god... phew. Anyway! For me it was a little beer called "The Wall" by Block 3. I've had some good beers from Block 3 (King Street Saison, for example) but The Wall should not have been released. "If Cheetos made ...
