Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

It's pretty weird to me. I can buy a Duchesse De Bourgogne for $2.95, which has been naturally soured and aged for years, shipped across the ocean, then sold here. Or I can buy a kettle soured bottle of Jelly King which brews as fast as a normal beer, for $7.50. Granted The bottle is bigger, but tha...

Re: Crossroads (Weston & 401) clearance section

I checked here yesterday, and the Clearance section was moved and much smaller than before! I hope they aren't limiting what they offer. Nothing new either, just the Alvinne beers and the peach lambic.

Re: Nickel Brook Brewing

They don't have any list online about what they have at the bottle shop currently, do they? I'm thinking of making a trip out but would rather go when I know they have some really good stuff. Also, is the better location to visit the burlington location if I'm more interested in sour beers? And the ...

Re: Crossroads (Weston & 401) clearance section

I stopped by yesterday but didn't see anything new that grabbed my eye. Couldn't find the Mikeller, even looking amongst the wine so either I'm blind or they are all gone now.

Ended up picking up some of the Achel blonde though cause I liked it so much, and more Phi. Still lots of both.

Re: Crossroads (Weston & 401) clearance section

The Mikkeller was there last night at around 10pm when I was there. It doesn't seem to be moving at the $14.10 price point, although that is a fair price IMO without having tasted it yet. If you're facing the entrance of the store there are about 6-7 bottles on the shelves on your right side, towar...

Completely agreed on that front, I really wish we had more 355 ml cans here- does anyone in Ontario apart from Steamwhistle even pack in this format?
Tooth and Nail in Ottawa sells 355ml cans out of the brewpub, it's great. I was surprised when I saw it but enjoyed them.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Actually I was at Indie ale house last week and ended up leaving without buying anything because they wanted $18 - $20 for a 750ml bottle for the ones that looked interesting to me. On top of that, they couldn't even give me a sample of most of them.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Very pleasantly surprised to find Michel Jodoin Cidre Rose at a LCBO in Ancaster today. LCBO# 481473 | 750 mL bottle. Fantastic price on these. And a really great cidery. Any ine know if there are plans to bring in any more product? Confusingly enough it seems that they have two, with different pri...

Re: Cask Days 2016

Does anyone know if the Oregon casks (Cascade, specifically) will be available throughout the festival? Or just at the event at Volo on Saturday night then at the Brickworks on Sunday? The event poster seems to imply the latter, but it's not clear... The cask days listing definitely has them on it ...

Re: Cask Days 2016

Anybody looking for tickets for Saturday night? I've got two Session 4 (Sat 8pm-12am) tickets I'm looking to sell. Looking for $35 each compared to the $43 it costs on the site.
