Re: Coronavirus

I am in Portugal and they have their first two suspected cases. The Canadians quarantined in Trenton are about twenty minutes from where I live. A nurse friend of mine mentioned that if any of them has a serious medical emergency quarantine may need to be broken. I’m not certain how that would work...

At Pearson Airport drinking a Henderson Brewing Company Union Pearson Ale, which is very good. Found it at the Smoke’s Poutine place at the far end of the lower level of Terminal 3.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

ÇA Blueberry Sour With Cacao Nibs. I’m usually willing to give these guys the benefit of the doubt on new beers and although I wouldn’t say I love this, it is highly drinkable. Also, it is at the low end of the sour spectrum, even when compared to their other sours, so it might be a good intro beer ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Monk’s Stout from Dupont. A thin, nondescript and over carbonated mess. Very disappointing. Actually, I am picking up the roasted flavour and some bitterness as I work through the bottle to make it somewhat recommendable, but still, disappointing for me and wildly over carbonated IMO.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Yeti, which just hit the shelves of my local today. This is, IMO, a truly world class Imperial Stout. I picked up eight, two for now and a half dozen to sit for a while. is your "local" Summerhill? I saw yeti in their beer walk-in fridge (north end of store) a few weeks back but haven't s...

It scores REALLY high. Was less of a fan of Oak Aged Yeti, which had really gross bitter wood tannins...

Re: Fullers IIPA

... go to the store, ask them to bring you in a case of the beer you are after, return the portion of the case you dont want once the product comes in That worked. My local has put it in their order book for me and it should be here in a week or so. Thanks for the tip. Of course you may want to 're...

Death Valley Triple Hop Ale from Quebec. Quite a nice Belgian IPA, which is a style I’d like to see more of around these parts.

Re: Fullers imperial IPA

Glad I'm not the only one. I actually drank the one bottle over two days, using a champagne stopper to preserve the CO2... still quite something, it's very stunning in as you say a British way, it's a powerful beer and one it's worth buying again and cellaring some to develop for a few to several y...
