It's Founders porter, not the Breakfast Stout, that is on the shelves now.
Maybe the LCBO failed to differentiate the two products.
I hope that's not the case. I'm looking forward to the Breakfast Stout and Dragon's Milk.

Re: Goldenfield Brewery
It's hard to find bourbon barrel aged stouts under $10, so I raced over over to Goldenfield when it released its $8 tall boy cans.
I'm happy to report that it's a solid value, better than the similarly-priced Left Field Blackburns and the St-Ambroise Imperial Porter.

Re: Collective Arts
I picked up the Origins of Darkness mix pack at the new Toronto store last night. I tried the Almond Milk/Coffee variant and it was ... nothing special. Not a good balance as the coffee steamrolled over the other flavours. The Untappd reviews so far seem to reflect my experience. I cannot find this...

Re: Collective Arts
I just threw up in my mouth a bit. Couldn't they have also thrown in some maple syrup and maybe Thai fish sauce? You know, like double down on a bad idea. I do like the fruit concoctions from CA, but their recent Arts Fest Pineapple Vanilla IPA was downright awful. Also, their porters and stouts ne...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
Remaining bottles of Founders CBS have been reduced to $6.65 across the province. Quite a steal. Respectfully disagree. The sale started over a month ago and it seems LCBO still can't get rid of the stuff at that price. I found the CBS very good, but not great, so $6.65 is still too high for me. Wi...

Heir Apparant Mexican Spiced Imperial Stout
This one just hit the shelves today, and I'm drinking one right now. Yes, it really is $3.70 for 500ml/11.7%.
Taste is quite sweet with hardly a trace of the peppers. A decent but not an essential stout.

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Right now: Fuller's Imperial Stout - I like this one a lot. Yes, that Fuller's is a good one, especially for the price. Boulevard Whiskey Barrel Stout is excellent, cheaper than the KBS. Also tried Bring Out the Imp. I had it right after Boulevard, so my taste test may have been compromised. It was...

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread
The Dragon's Milk stout price increase is annoying. Last fall, it was $8 and then it jumped to $10 a few weeks later.
When it hit the shelves last week, it was $9.95 and now it's $10.70. Won't be surprised it will rise again next month.

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO
KBS starting to roll out at some Toronto stores and 1 Ottawa store.......sorry if ya'll already know this! Also plenty of backwoods bastard about. Watch out for the Backwoods Bastard expiry dates. The bottles I'd picked up last week were July 20, 2018. No wonder the price is now 3.30, down from 4.

Does anyone know when KBS Stout will hit the shelves? It was listed weeks ago.
