Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

... it’s too high octane for my liking, taking my breath with every sip ... Not trying to tell you how to drink your whiskey, but .... you knew a "but" was coming  IMO, people's concept of "sip" when it comes to spirits involves too much liquid entering the mouth - especial...

Re: LCBO.com

Hey all, first time caller, long time listener. Jumped on LCBO.com this morning, and the “Check All Stores” is back. Not only that, but now you can organize by Quantity or by City! Either someone at the ‘BO grew a brain, or a lot of people complained. I would bet on the latter. aye https://hellolcb...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Somehow I missed knowing about a place in Burlington called Culaccinno's . Went there tonight; quite an extensive beer list. Had a couple of beers there tonight. First, a Dominion Filibuster IIPA. Very good, but with the preponderance of IPAs in Ontario now, I find it somewhat impossible to rank and...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

For sure. I did cave to get Tempest in that Amsterdam pack though, sometimes I can't resist. I bought 5 of those Amsterdam mix packs. there were so many left over from the Holiday season. it was cheaper to buy the pack then the beers inside it separately. That was a fairly easy one to 'cave' on; se...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Wellington Mix Pack Volume 6 is now in cans. unfortunately none of the beers in the pack are new. But the Rhubarb Saison and Raked Over IPA are new to LCBO distribution. Rhubarb Saison was in one of their past Welly Rebooted mix packs though, so it's really only one new beer for the LCBO. Ah, OK. W...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Scanned shelves for new products I have not yet sampled. Is that new Sidelaunch Midnight Lager a rebrand of the Dark (also formerly Denison's Dunkel?) I think so. In a store last night I saw a flat saying 'Midnight Lager', but I guess I wasn't paying attention when I picked up the can. Wasn't till ...

I saw the LCBO listing calling this an "Ontario" beer. This explains it.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Some colleagues will occasionally gather after work on Friday at a local establishment. We did so today, and I started with Ransack the Universe. I love this beer. It is definitely one of my all time favourite IPAs. Afterwards, at home, I had an Exchange 'New England' IPA. My expectations were low g...

I bought one at Great Lakes but haven't had it yet. I love good pilsners. Given it is Great Lakes, I have high hopes for this one.

Ontario brewing cities

Hamilton is the only city able to compete with Toronto when it comes to Ontario craft beer. Not to shit on the rest of the province, as there are some amazing beers from other breweries out there that I'd drink any minute of any day of any week. Toronto and Hamilton just rule the list. Yes I agree ...
