Re: What're you drinking right now?

Had a Forked River Weendigo Barrel Age Imperial Stout last night.

Had to fight the wax-covered cap for a while. When I finally got the cap off, it gushed over the counter. At least the beer tasted good.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I don't understand how a beer can be for sale in the LCBO, but not show up in their (publicly available) inventory system. Remember I asked something similar about LCBO stocking Dominion City? This is how you responded... "Not trying to be dickish, but why don't you just go to the LCBO website...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I don't understand how a beer can be for sale in the LCBO, but not show up in their (publicly available) inventory system. Saw Longslice Aloha Friday HPA at King/Spadina yesterday. Doesn't show up on either the main LCBO site, or the old foodanddrink site. Mind you, there's no word of it on the Long...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Omnipollo Prodromus while playing Pandemic with the family. Description on the can accurately states "Graham Cracker Chocolate Chunk Caramel Bar Stout". Very, very sweet, certainly not for everyone. This is definitely one beer I would prefer in a smaller size than 473 ml. And picking up a ...

Ontario Beverage Network

https://ontariobev.net/

This site used to have updates several times a week, but doesn't seem to have had one since early October. Does anyone know anything about this?

Re: Collective Arts

Having said that, it is odd to sell a special release in 4-packs when all regulars sell as singles. The opposite strategy would seem to make more sense. Agree with this. I'm probably in the minority but if breweries packaged in small cans (12oz/355ml) I'd buy multiples (4 or 6 packs) more readily t...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

I'll try the fuck out of those. Sounds fun. And I'm also starting to board the train of 'all the fruit and lactose fuck off'. But not quite. I still enjoy the good stuff of that ilk and likely always will. Just get's a bit overwhelming sometimes. I am by no means a prude, but your consistent use of...

Re: Dominion City

Do they have any beers in the LCBO? Not trying to be dickish, but why don't you just go to the LCBO website and check. I just did. They have no listings. I did do that. But from my experience using the LCBO app, I've seen beers not exist on there, only for them to be sitting on a shelf in a store. ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Sawdust City Fruits of Eden There is what I will describe as a perfume like flavour in this. It reminds me of when I first had Mill St. Tankhouse Ale around 2007, a beer that I swear has been changed since then. Market Kodiak A 9% abv IIPA that I've had for awhile. Very good, but no mistaking it is ...

St. Mary Axe India Pagan Ale

Very good. I've said before that I prefer the more bitter interpretations to the fruity and citrus ones, and this one hit the spot when I got home today.

Nice catch. I really enjoy this beer.

I wanted to try it last year, but missed out. Glad to see it's back....with a recommendation to boot. :)

Re: LCBO Autumn, Halloween and Ontario Craft Beers 2018 Release

I don't mind pumpkin beers. Having a couple a year around October is fine. Just like some of the winter beers in December and January. My favourite though is Southern Tier Pumking. I'm going to try to brew a clone this year though with less ABV. Completely agree with liking a little pumpkin b...

Available at the brewery is:

Hot Pink Brut IPA brewed with Hallertau Blanc and Vic Secret Hops.

I bought some Saturday, but haven't tried it yet.
