Kawartha Lakes Brewery Pale Ale

I bought a case of this last night when I returned my bottles to TBS. They took the liberty to "cellar" this for me. I couldnt find a bottling or best before date on the packaging or the bottles but the case was really dusty and the staff told me that this was their last case and it had be...

What do you but with your bottle returns?

I almost never shop at TBS but whenever I do a bottle return I pick up at least a 6er. I usually make a list at least 5 brews long because they almost never have my first choice. My staples are 6ers of Iron Duke, and Arkel from Wellington or anything Unibroue (preferably Trois Pistoles). Recently Iv...

Dear Fellow RateBeerian I'm sorry to say that despite our best efforts and an outstanding group of worldwide volunteers and active raters in countries around the the globe, we've come to a point where it's difficult to resume our service to craft beer community. Recently we've come under a steady a...

I am starting to think that the Westmalle is one of the best dubbels I have had in terms of balance. While I find a lot of dubbles are sweet, usually overly so, the westmalle is sweet but balanced by spices, heavy hopping and a yeasty funk. ive had the Westmalle dubble 4 times now and i find it qui...

St Peter's CREAM STOUT

This is the biggest surprise of the Fall release for me. Im actually purchasing more of this brew the the SS Imp Stout which surprises me. I love the mouthfeel and the roasted malt flavour is better the most stouts. I wish this one was a year-rounder

Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout

I think its quite a nice brew. Its much different from other Imperial Stouts that Ive had. Its quite fruity but this adds a layer of complexity that is not always found in Imperial Stouts. I still think that John By is the best option for Imperial Stouts at the LCBO but Im a bit worried about this y...
