Re: BCBS LCBO?

There's some info on FB about the Goose Island/WNY relationship. Allegedly your final sentence could be more accurate than you realize.

Re: Frank D'Angelo and the ding-dong dismissal

You mean Mike Zigomanis and Luca Caputi haven't resulted in a windfall for Frank on dollarama-quality energy drinks? Say it ain't so!

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

Finally got my hands on some of The Juice. A bit thin but that's my only somewhat minor qualm about this one. Big flavour in the vein of what's happening in the North-Eastern United States.

Re: Beer Cellars

I just use cooler area of my basement (AKA Crawlspace) that sees virtually no light. Which is probably to say I'm storing beer rather than cellaring them. ;)

Two best posts in this thread: "It's your beer" and "i spend my money on what's good and what will be good."

A vertical of Fayston Barrel Aged Stouts with a friend visiting from Vermont. In order of best to very good: Coffee Fayston Rum Barrel Fayston Bourbon (Pappy) Barrel Fayston Regular Fayston I had coffee at #1 while he had Rum at #1. The Pappy was still very good but the other two were a couple steps...

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

We are extremely excited to announce the release of our first sour beer. 'In the Beginning' is a sour golden ale aged in stainless for many moons with our house mixed culture, then re-fermented in the bottle. $10/750ml bottle (limit 6 per person) available at the brewery starting this Friday. Damn ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

The Leelanau is 15 or so bucks at the brewery, so the 18 bucks is actually a bit of a discount. Still, if I'm paying 18 bucks for a 375 ml bottle of anything it had better have brewed at 403 Hill Rd.

Re: Vermont

Foley should be at all the bigger beer stores. Frost too, but it sells out much faster. Better priced and better beers IMO. I always found the Onion River Co-op in downtown Burlington to be pricier than the other organic spots in the state. Beer selection is worse also. Much prefer Hunger Mountain f...

Re: Advice for Toronto to Vermont road trip

Cornwall - Burlington isn't the greatest drive but I've done it now so many times it actually kinda flies by. Unless I'm heading to Jay Peak or straight to Hill I take the Ferry; I like being able to get out of the car and stretch my legs a bit. Usually stop for a coffee outside Chateauguay and occa...

Re: Vermont

Not quite Vermont but I also hit Deciduous in New Hampshire on this trip as well. Some neat things being brewed there, including some of the better Berliner's I've had from the US.
