at 4.2% abv I find harviestoun bitter & twisted is a nice session option. unfortunately, and to Belgian's point, $3.50 may be an issue for some. Sell me a quality mild for $10 for a 4 pack of tall boys and I'll buy it. I think that's a reasonable cost. my homebrewed mild cost me about $7 for 5 ...
Parallel 49 Snap Crackle Pop Imperial Rice IPA showed up at my local this week. Case was dated Exx14, (can't remember what the xx's were, but they were in the 10-20 range), indicating that they were bottled back in May.

Sort of. I am visiting just outside of Toronto for another 2 weeks or so. I will see what Granite have to offer, but I tend to go for diversity rather than large quantities of one beer, so growlers is not my best bet.
