Re: Summerhill Growler/Craft Beer Destination Store

Drastic craft beer sale increases.

Clearly that means, reduce inventory and selection of craft beers.

Re: General LCBO Debate & Discussion Thread

Exactly, the features were never dealt with properly. Beer was mixed in with everything else on the shelf. If was put on an end with distinct marketing about the brewery and the specific offerings in the feature it would have been so much better. It would generate information and a "buzz" ...

Re: Prague and Plzen

Was in Prague for my honeymoon, unfortunately I was just getting into craft beer.

I've heard that going to the Pilsner Urquell brewery and having the unfiltered version on tap is a must.

Big homebrewer. Lots of awards. Le Coeur Noir from Beaus is his beer that won the Oktoberfest homebrew competition.

Re: Ordering Cantillon through SAQ?

I'm assuming you are talking about Cantillon. Getting a case is possible. Although it's going to cost you. Right now through the Quebec source, they are requiring you to buy 2 to 3 other cases of obvious lesser beers, including all fees. It's going to run you probably avg, $300 to get 6 bottles of C...

Exactly the same. I was at the Royal Oak here in Ottawa which is the usual Kilkenney, Boddintons, Guinness, etc.

Then I see Honkers and Fullers on tap. I rotated back and forth.

Reg

Does NB have as nazi of a testing process as the LCBO? My main worry with the growler situation is that the beer gets held up before it hits the growler station.

Although it's pretty pedestrian. I love seeing Whitewater getting into the LCBO. Local brewery from my hometown. Hopefully they get a nice lift out of this. I'll definitely buy some for guests at my house. Agreed. I get up to Renfrew Co. in the summer and have really enjoyed the Whitewater beers th...

Now I missed this part Small brewers across Ontario will also be allowed to sell beer on-site at all their locations, no matter how small, which was previously restricted Some clarification is needed, do they have to brew at the same location? If not, this is a small win. Would have loved to see cro...

Sam Adams is now in Quebec in a big way as is Beau's. You better believe Beau's is talking to Costco about getting listed. I haven't been to Montreal for about 4-5 years. Has the draft selection at bars changed at all or is it still all macros and Quebec craft? For my first visit to Montreal years ...

That's not really even a step. Grocery stores yes, but max a 6 pack.... really? Costco might not even get involved at that level. why do people keep on talking about Costco like it's a godsend? is Costco ever good for the small guy? did you expect Bellwoods and GLB's Tank Ten series to be on sale a...
