Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Actually, the nanobrewing is good for everyone, especially with like... 200 graduates coming out of Niagara college in the next ten years.

But, yeah. People are going to have to up their game if they want to get casks into Volo.

Volo has started brewing on premises

I somehow weaseled my way in on it and there's an article with some photos up on my blog (link in sig).

For purely selfish reasons, I want to see a Cask event that invites brewers to create an English or Welsh style mild. So far there's the Grand River one and the one from Scotch Irish. I feel like Neustadt would be a good participant and so would Durham. Maybe throw in a couple others just to see wha...

I've got a review up.

Attendance was a bit sparse, what with the violence, arson, rioting, tear gas and trampling hooves.

In the interest of shameless self promotion, I guess I should point out that I'm covering a number of events for Ontario Craft Beer Week on my blog. The link's in my sig.

The Harbord House dinner was over the top impressive. If they do another one in the near future, you should plan on going.

Besides, the secure area doesn't really extend up to Kensington. And it would be a counterproductive measure during the world cup. They'd run out of hotel rooms.

I stopped in there around Christmas. It was during the staff party. I ordered a pint and it made me nauseous, but I had to finish it because... well what? Are you going to complain during their staff party?

OCB Summer 2010 pack

I picked this up the other day, and I've written a bit about it on my blog. I'm wondering what everyone thought. It didn't seem particularly exciting to me, but that might be because of my inexplicable bias against Trafalgar. The pack is 4x473 ml cans. Elora Grand Lager Trailhead Lager Devil's Pale ...
