I brew in 3 58L sanke kegs. Two cost me around $80.00 each and the other one was from Paddock Wood about 10 years ago. $600.00. Two 3000 watt electric elements. So I am roughly a little under half what this system is. That buys a lot of malt. It is nice though. Would I buy it if I didn't put my own ...
An EPA and AIPA. The "C" hops ( Centenial and Amarillo ) were all added from the 20 min. mark. Nice grapefuit aroma. Bitterness is subdued of course, but I like it.
I have used it a few times. The beer was okay, not as good as US-05. I mostly use Mauri 497 lager yeast. It is excellent lager yeast and way cheaper than other dry lager yeasts.
Save your money and take a road trip to Brampton. Buy everything you can't build and brew on. A lot of us use 15 gallon sanke kegs for kettles, mash tuns and sparge tanks. Look around, they are getting more available all the time.
