Not that it helps you in Sudbury, but those of us in the GTA will also have 10BY coming very soon... I don't want to be the one to break the bad news........I tasted the new batch of 10BY and it's VERY different than the original batch. I found it very disappointing. :( Hopefully they tweak it to w...

The category "2xipa" is what's throwing people off. If that wasn't on the label, people would rate this beer much higher. It doesn't have the kick you in the arse hoppyness ze beer nerds are craving, but I think it's very well rounded for a high abv beer. Hides its alcohol very well, with ...

I didn't go, found the cost prohibitive. Plus I was at Volo the night before for house ales.

So, to quell my curiosity, what did Trou Du Diable & Trois Mousquetaires have?

of the 5 I tried, the jonny boy double ipa was the winner.

Good event, surprised to hear house music at bar volo, but it was great! The guys from ddc were playing music via traktor on their laptops.

had their triple which I thought was so so, but still this is a damn good brewery.

I have a La Fache Folle in my cabinet waiting to be cracked. I think I'll have to make my way to this shindig, Volo always brings it with the events.

what's with all these scensters at the launch, that prob drink bud lime. also notice it's 99% white people, very representative of Toronto as per usual w/ these industry events. By industry, I don't just mean beer, but take a look at pics for any party covered by media like Toronto Life. I should no...

Can't lie, it's a pretty tempting lineup, especially trois mousquetaires and trou du diable for me. But, $35 just to get in, w/ no beer tickets, is well a bit steep to me. The other things you've listed to be honest have very little added value to me. I don't care about the contests, the cooking dem...

I'm pretty sure you can order Rochefort through Esprit agencies in Ontario. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Last I heard they do still carry Rochefort, and they had the 10 in stock. Peter can be tough to get a hold of, but once I sent him payment for the Karmeliet the case was delivered to my ...

I must've bought around 10 Affligem gift packs when they last came around for 2009 Christmas. I agree, La Tr...

I'm happy with this, not ecstatic but happy. Baby steps I guess, now let's see regular releases for Chimay Blue, Westmalle and Affligem dubel/tripel

Those are probably more realistic than asking for St Bernardus, Delirium or Orval as reg release.

Let's hope they know what they're doing, minimum we have to see Delirium Tremens there since they can just buy kegs from the beer store. What? umm talking about the beer hall, they can stock DT via Beer Store. http://www.thebeerstore.ca/Beers/branddetails.asp?id=2163 Cool.. learn something new ever...
