People need to stop brewing beer with cherries. It's by far the worst fruit to use. I, as well as so many other people I've talked to about it agree... the vast majority of the time your beer just ends up tasting medicinal. Like Halls, as the person said above... or just cherry flavoured cold medic...
I've got a 2013-2017 Bellwoods Motley Cru tasting to do over the holidays, depending when I can get people together. Have regular Amsterdam Tempests 2012-2014 to open too. Have a bunch of various Chimays I want to get through too.
I remember Amsterdam Double tempest from last year came in quite a bit higher than the 11.9% limit and they had to re-adjust it somehow to get to 11.9% as Amsterdam didn't have the right license.
No idea what that would involve...I mean they don't just "water it down" do they?
They would like to brew CBS more, but seem committed to a specific maple syrup producer in Michigan, which is the bottle neck and limiting factor. if only there was another place in the world that had a huge supply of maple syrup....
Ya, I've seen the GLB RIS Stout at the LCBO with that 30th anniversary logo. I don't see the Quad coming up in any LCBO searches either. I'd guess it was the stout there as I think the quad came out many months ago.
