QUESTION : Rules re - minors in pub / bars in ONT

I had lunch with my teenager at C'est What? and there were families with younger children there at the time,
so I'm generally wondering, what are the rules for bringing minors inside pubs in Ontario, and more specifically, can I do this for Sat dinner at BAR HOP?

^^^Agreed that 2-3 months isn't that big a deal, but still.....if one can get excellent local IPA packed only 2-3 weeks ago, such as Headstock (ok, I am biased---I love Headstock) then....

^Which makes me wonder, why call it that??? Calling it West Coast style doesn't make any difference to those who aren't familiar with the style and just invites criticism from those that are.

Publican Square Nail Pale

Let me preface by saying I knew nothing of this beer until yesterday. It was labelled on the can as "West Coast Style', so I decided to give it a try. Poured in a OCB pint glass, an inch thick head developed. Aroma was surprising muted as I was expecting pungent layers of citrusy hop. Taste imm...

^funny you should mention that, but I was thinking the same thing at Aurora this afternoon, only the "new" cans there were produced in early december! Went for some feb Headstock instead.

Finally made my first visit here at around 500 yesterday. It was already hopping busy with room at the bar only, which was all i wanted. Had a Nickelbrook Belgian Pale--quite tastey and satisfying. The chalk board had less than 26 taps listed but there were a few clipboards scattered along the bar w...

^Totally agree---pale lager---just not exciting. Now, if it was a 100 Mile clone of Victory Prima Pils, I'd take notice. Overall, there's just too much excellent beer available these days for me to fit this one into my liver.

Totally agree with all of the above and must add, wait till your eyes start going and you have to remember to bring your reading glasses! However, Even when not smudged, you have to hold the bottle in a particular way so its illuminated from behind at just the right angle--totally frustrating; Naugh...

^^^Actually, I was just pointing out BDIS's ratings are (marginally) lower than something we already have in Cobblestone. I just expected with the chatter that Brooklyn would have clearly superior ratings, like Bells Trumpeters Stout (96, 99)---then I would get the excitement beyond the six pack for...

BROOKLYN DRY IRISH STOUT --- not sure about the excitement beyond the six pack form....

RB: 3.32 average, 80 and 80 percentile
versus Millstreet Cobblestone at 3.41, 88 and 93 percentile....

and while not a dry, Mackeson xxx stout, in a sixer, 3.68, 97 and 98 percentile.

Impressive taps; is this now the best tap selection in the GTA outside of the downtown core? Certainly GTA north, no?

I won't argue with smashbomb; it's still one of my Ont IPA favourites, and, IMO, wayyyy better than anything Beau's.

^^^Midlife, though my post followed yours, i wasn't specifically crapping on your list. I also had denison's and hellwoods on my list of four before i got stuck. One problem with the sixer is, do we fill it with a variety of styles just for the sake of style variety or do we fill it with the best si...
