Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Pretzel Raspberry Chocolate LCBO#: 403147 | 750 mL bottle $10.95 First off, light years better than the Maple Bacon Doughnut. No contest, hands down. Second, is it worth paying $11? No. But if you want to have it for the novelty factor then split the cost with someone. The ras...

I am not interested in buying Uptopia and I made no effort to get the WestyXII so yeah. you're not those 2 breweries' target audiences. :) companies like Stone spend $$ figuring out profitability, pricing, etc. I think they'll do well in bottles. on draught long-term? who knows. initially? yes. As ...

I can't speak for everyone but I can assure you that you are wrong in at least some cases. well, of course i am wrong in SOME cases. I really don't drink that much. you're already an exception and not the rule. :) I don't spend my small beer budget on crappy beers just so I can get more of them but...

It's interesting to learn what the pricing will be like. 8 bucks for a bomber of Stone IPA or 6 for a bomber of Lake Effect. That's a decent sized price gap. it's approximately... two dollars. it won't stop anyone from buying Stone. if you're shopping for a bottle of wine and bottle A is $13 but bo...

I suspect "craft" beer may end up going through a name change. As of now it encompasses Stone and their $136M in revenue as well as a start up with two brews and three draft accounts. Blonde lager, stout and IIPAs are all thrown together as craft as long as they were not made by Molbatts. ...

I'm not convinced that the name appeal of guys like Stone or SN is as strong as you might think up here. For people into craft beer, sure, absolutely. But selling beer in Ontario is still a mass-market gig and I think the appeal of local is still quite a bit stronger than the appeal of the big craf...

The display is still there and priced just as I described. I took a picture but have no idea how to post it here. If anyone really wants to see it I could maybe figure out how to tweet it. [/img]

No way that beer was $9+ originally I could have been mistaken but I really don't think so. I will not likely have a chance to go back until Friday night but if the display is still there I will snap a picture. Every other retail business does this all the time but it just doesn't feel right that t...

i don't get the argument that one should tip on top of tax. makes zero sense. i do 15-20% pre-tax. alcohol at bars: usually $1/drink regardless of the drink's price, unless you're getting a cocktail that actually had skill going into it's production I am with you on this. The bartender / server gra...

Midtfyns Imperial Stout

There were cases of these on Friday at Crossroads. Big sale sign saying they were $3 off. I tried one. Nice flavour up front but a weird metallic bite to the end of the sip. I don't regret putting a couple other bottles back to get this instead but I won't get another.

Craft beer has jumped the shark for me in general though. Not nearly as passionate as I used to be about it and I'm disheartened with how trendy it's become. It's all good though. I've found another hobby that fills the craft beer void. I am still a big fan of craft beer and am not likely to pick u...

This overrated garbage is still on shelves at multiple LCBOs. Underwhelming and overhyped brewery IMHO. Feel free to defend ... The beer is not that much better than other brews that are on the shelves for a buck or two less. This release is just priced too high for the quality / size of the produc...
