I really enjoyed the porters from last year's autumn release (Anchor, Smuttynose, Acadia). This release a little light. It will be good on my wallet at least.

Back to back, fresh cans. I enjoyed both but I'd say Side Launch retains the title with a softer mouthfeel, more intense flavours and a longer finish. Muskoka's also has a bit of a bitterness to it which I'd rather it didn't.

If you buy it and it's skunked, you can probably get your money back so long as you have the receipt and bring back the bottle with liquid inside it.

I've seen the Sultana Gold growlers at the Wilson & Dufferin LCBO for a while now. Looks like they come pre-filled and aren't moving very fast.

There's a couple cases of 16-month old Saison du Tracteur. At $2.50 I picked up a bottle, but (as expected) it's not what it once was. Well past it's prime, avoid it.

A bit OT, but: I'm going to the Raptors game later this week; first of the year. Is there any decent beer at all, or should I not even bother searching? Best I've seen at ACC is $15 Creemore. Head to the Corks bar inside Longo's at Maple Leaf Square before the game for nice selection and well price...

Tank 7 is an amazing brew. Nice to see Jacobins, St. Feuillien Saison and Sorachi Ace coming back. De Leite Cuvée Sœur’ise and APOCALYPSO look interesting.

Fionn MacCool's at Hwy 7 and 27 has a decent selection for the area. I recall Erdinger and Detour on tap when I was there in the summer. And some Unibroue bottles.
