Re: Karma Citra IPA - Great Lakes Brewery

We don't want to leave people hanging I got there at 6:30 and it was all sold out. Afterwards I read on Twitter it sold out in 4 hours. I guess I should know better, but I got the impression there would be a lot of this available, what with the extended hours and all. I wish GLB either made a lot m...

Seems it's a bit shorter and holds 60ml more beer.

I definitely tasted the sweet malt, but it wasn't too pronounced. I also thought it had a bit of mint to it which was really nice.

The good: Pecorino Crotonese Oka L"Artisan Balderson aged cheddar The bad: Chimay à la Bière I couldn't resist picking this up to pair with some Chimay beer one evening. It did not go over well with me or any of my friends. Its bitterness/sourness was overwhelming. Also it stunk so bad I had to...

It is probably mostly a mental thing, but I just find it satisfying to have a really fresh (less than one month old) IPA. I did mention my RR cans were damn tasty at 2 months old. I was just hoping the new tall can shipment would hit the shelves a little fresher.

I was a bit disappointed that it took two months for these cans to hit the shelves. I'd like to try a really fresh batch.

But it's still damn tasty and a good value for sure.

The Project X batch, which I loved, had 30 IBU and came in at 7% ABV. Will have to pick up one to see how much it's changed. I enjoyed the 7% Project X batch too, the one I had was barrel aged. This one is not ("bourbon soaked"?), I didn't taste any bourbon in it. Not nearly as intense as...

Agree, I had it in a tulip. To me the aroma was much like the almost stale Red Racer I got from the LCBO, which was pretty great.

They are putting the production date on the cans now. Currently drinking some dated 01.14.14 and it's quite tasty and smells great!
