The Craft Brasserie & Grille

There's a sign at the corner of Atlantic and Snooker in Liberty Village saying "Coming Soon: The Craft Brasserie & Grille". It's advertising "over 100 craft beers on tap".

It's a great addition to this craft-starved stretch of the Danforth. just go to the Wren or the Only or Sarah's. I gave up on Sarah's years ago after two visits and I don't see what's so inspiring about their draft list . Unless I'm missing some place, Local's will be the only cask on the Danforth ...

Apart from Thornbury Cider, Guinness and 1516 Okanagan, the draft is all Ontario and Quebec micro although it tends to the pedestrian (Organic, Tankhouse, Lug-Tread, Steam ...

The Stone Lion, 1958 Queen E.

Lion On The Beach served its last pint on Sunday, September 28. Our waitress told us that the Lion was going to be re-invented. It was promptly disassembled and a sign in the window promised a mid-October re-opening. Another sign went up advertising the unwieldy URL www.UrbanJungleBeachCafeBistroPub...

Re: East Enders want YOU

I've never noticed anything dodgy going on, and from what I can see of my new neighbours, income levels are skyrocketing, while the average age is sinking. there's a huge level of dodginess. OATC just opened a clinic east of the Wren. OATC is addiction (namely, heroin/opiate) treatment. I work with...
