Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

The style of the Beat the Heat is debatable. Black Oak's website says its a Belgian Wit: http://www.blackoakbeer.com/index.php/our-beers/well-seasoned/ . GregClow's ratebeer reviews debates the style also (ratebeer has it classed as a saison) http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/black-oak-beat-the-heat/4193...

Re: Beer for non-craft drinker guests?

thanks for the suggestions guys. i'm liking the idea of the Munich gold, i like the Hacker Weiss but havent tried gold yet. I think a good hefeweizen is a must as lots of people do like it as a summer beer. tried a belgian style wit on the weekend, the new Beat the Heat by Black Oak, but my wife did...

Re: Where is my Maudite, Unibroue?

just got back from the maple ave, milton beer store with a 4 pack of Maudite and Trois Pistoles. despite the TBS website only displaying Maudite keg info and saying the location had zero 3P. that store is the kind with the counter that you order at, so i asked if they had either beer, he looked them...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

There is also Hickson IPA 500ml for $4.00 The Baltic Porter and Imperial IPA are also 2 for $7.50 ($3.75ea), 4 for $14.50 ($3.63ea) and 12 for $41.95 ($3.50ea). would be great if LCBO had volume discounts like that! P.S. The quebec ratebeer reviewers say it cost $4.60 to $4.99 in quebec, yet it's ch...

Re: Beer for non-craft drinker guests?

Side Launch Wheat. Macro lovers like wheat beer, hence the existence of Shock Top and Rickards White/Belgian Moon. Yes will definitely have that in the fridge. It's the 3rd rated German Hefeweizen on ratebeer to boot. Also will have some Weihenstephaner (#1 rated) too (it's very easy drinking). Tha...

Re: Beer for non-craft drinker guests?

thanks for the replies guys! i guess the reason i don't want macros is because i couldnt bear to see them in my fridge! i suppose i'm just looking for easy-drinking, yet good quality and highly rated. but on the other hand, most people dont care about quality or ratings, to them beer is beer. but i ...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Les Trois Mousquetaires GC Doppelbock 750mL making a comeback $8.35 I think this was an inventory error, i don't think it's coming back. I copied this from LCBO Watch twitter, https://twitter.com/LCBOWatch/status/723922971027472385 but it's not on the lcbo site any more, it was #359430. interesting...

on the lcbo site they describe the pack as having 6.9% abv, which is actually the average of the 6 different beers
