Re: What're you drinking right now?

Collective Arts Nothing Evolutionary Pale Ale With the proliferation of pale ales and IPAs over the last many years, I really don't expect to try any new one that stands out as being really different. But today it happened. This beer has what I might describe as a "perfume-like" like flavo...

Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

LCBO won't post 2019 Christmas Gift Pack List or Items until after Remembrance Day. I tried explaining that Christmas Gift Packs start showing up in stores the last week of October but it's like they don't want to hear it. last year I saw Old Tom's Egg Nog, Beers of Scotland, Innis & Gunn Myste...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Count me in the camp that prefers the West Coast IPA style to the New England.

Surprised that Ransack the Universe hasn't been mentioned yet (unless I missed it).

Tonight, I am enjoying Rainhard Diamond Dancer.

Collingwood Autumn Kellerbier

Excellent. A lager with a noticeable but not overwhelming hop presence. 24 IBU. Loved it.

Re: King's Town Beer Company

I stopped in there in 2018 July. Their beers were in aluminum bottles, which I think are really nice, but I can't say I was impressed with any of their beers.

The name sounds more like a Barnstormer offering than Lake of Bays.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Went to Henderson last weekend (and some other breweries). Motivation was rooted in my beer can collecting hobby (or perhaps I should describe it as a habit) to pick up their Pipeline Moe Hefeweizen. If you are a golf fan at all, the Moe Norman story is fascinating. Sad too. I saw him play once a fe...

From my perspective of a long-time beer can collector, I looking forward to the Fergie Jenkins Classic Pilsner. Pilsner also is a favourite style of mine - prefer them with some residual bitterness.

Do you know which brewery will be making this?

Big Rock The Darcys Poolside Grapefruit Lager

If you like Radlers or light fruity lagers on a hot summer's day, then I would recommend.....you choose something other than this one. I like many of the beers of this type that I have tried, but this one was bleh.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Nickel Brook Party Dad

Funny name and label, it's billed as a "Crushable IPA" due to the 3.5% alcohol. But this is a real disappointment. Very thin and just not enough flavour to make up for it.

Maclean's LazyHazyIPAzy

Nice flavour, but thin body to go with the 4.8% alcohol. I generally like the heavier IPAs, but can't say this one isn't OK when arriving home from work on a hot, humid summer's day.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

a couple of times in recent weeks Creemore Boundless IPA I liked this a lot. The hops were present but not overbearing. I would probably call this a Pale Ale instead of an IPA tonight Folly Heist Sour Pale Ale There are so many sour-type beers available now. I like trying them, but for many, one is ...

Re: ESB and the Bitter continuum

I've noticed that several Ontario brewers are now shying away from using or even alluding to the word "bitter" in their beer names, presumably to not scare away the beer curious. Yah, I think the word "bitter" scares people. St. Mary's Axe Belhoste Ale (previously Canadian Best ...
