Re: red tape in New Brunswick

Here is a good news story on Canadian Beer News about red tape being peeled off, albeit in a pilot program. This would be great in Ontario.

Re: Town Brewery

Anyone else think these guys are awesome? I just placed a $75 order actually an hour ago, they’ve got 4 good ones in stock So it turns out Town released not 1 but 3 new beers today, the IPA I had been anticipating, as well as a DIPA and a pale ale. Town is by far one of my favourites as of late. Th...

Re: Peppered beers

Wellington produced Raked Over Mango Pineapple Habanero IPA . It was available in their Brewery Mix Pack Volume 6 which is virtually sold out. Doesn't seem to be currently available at the brewery. Was there this morning, it’s not available. They're bringing it back. Wellington Brewery Brings Back ...

Re: Modern trends

I was reading the blurb on a new breweries website about what kind of beer they want to make, and it got me thinking about the current trends in craft beer: Our brewing focus is on the modern beer styles we love to drink, share and seek out. Top of the list are hazy and juicy hop-forward IPAs--big ...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

A few months ago there was a new listing for a Joseph Bloor Bohemian Pilsner. It appeared that it was only available on-line, not in stores.

Now there is a new listing for the same beer - new product number. Just came on, no stock showing.

Re: COVID19 affect on craft brewring industry

... Also, not to be nasty, as I said above, these businesses are someone's passion and employment, but on a purely quality basis, maybe some of the herd should be culled anyway. Let us hope the best survive, there's some really good talent and hard work going into Ontario brewing such that the qual...

COVID19 affect on craft brewring industry

Fear on tap as COVID-19 chokes off small brewery sales "Veteran industry observer and beer writer Jordan St. John predicts COVID-19 could break a significant portion of craft brewers. "I would say that you're probably looking at something like a quarter to a third of the craft brewing ind...

Re: Muddy York Brewing

Muddy York is releasing Brand X Double IPA. https://www.canadianbeernews.com/2020/05/01/muddy-york-brewing-releases-brand-x-double-ipa/ Got a laugh from the notes as they borrow from an old Jif peanut butter slogan. Bursting with passionfruit, mango and pineapple, Muddy York adds more Galaxy and Aza...

I'll confess that I've become a bit numb to pricing, and don't usually pay a lot of attention to it. But this does look like a great bargain.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Molson is reaching in to the vault and bringing back Molson Golden, in a 625 ml bottle no less. New LCBO listing , no inventory showing. Back in the day, Golden was an ale, but it got 'converted' to a lager before it was retired. At least, I assume it was completely retired. Haven't seen it in years.
