GLB Robohop. Others may disagree, but for my money this is the best beer GLB has ever produced and is also the best hop forward beer ever made in Ontario. Reminds me a little of Heady Topper. Awesome stuff. Had this at Brothers in the market the other day. While I agree that it is definitely a tast...

Alberta craft breweries and good bottle shops?

Taking a trip out west to Alberta in a few weeks and I was hoping to stop by a few breweries while I'm out there. I was hoping some of the more western towellers on here could point me in the right direction. Will be in Calg most of the week, a day or 2 in Edmonton and out near Banff as well. Don't ...

When the Molson rep saw it, he threatened to cut off supply. While that would be no big loss these days, back then it meant not supplying his regulars the swill they were used to and causing some real economic hardship, so he ended up passing on his buddy's beer. Maybe back then he would be ...

Im not that crazy about the beer itself. I agree with most of the previous posts about the sweetness, but at Union in Ottawa they use it to make a Spiked Moroccan beer cocktail which is amazing. They have several components to the drink, some of which are house made, like cinnamon simple syrup, but ...

I made it out last night too, probably walked right by each other at some point. The beers were all great. The grapefruit wheat was crisp and sessionable and the stout was great too. The DIPA was my favorite though. Great juiciness from the rye and some good sticky resiny qualities like you mentione...

I was able to make it down to brothers on Thursday and thought it was a pretty great beer. Had a chance to meet some of the owners too, who were cool guys. They're having their grand opening this Tuesday. If the rest of the line up is as good as the rye I'm really looking forward to them.
