Picked up a couple bottles today and I'm now kicking myself that I didn't grab a few more. Excellent beer and if it didn't say 8.6% on the label you would never think it was that strong.

Thanks! I will definitely try this out. I usually put bourbon in my BBQ sauce when I make it, but never thought of putting coffee in before. I love what bourbon does to BBQ sauce. I don't know too much about the drink itself (other than enjoying a good mint julep) but since it looks like I'll be bu...

Here's the recipe for a gingerbread stout cake that I make a couple times a year, most recently for the company holiday potluck. I usually use St Ambroise Oatmeal Stout. The result is very similar to the ginger stout cake I used to get at Smokeless Joes - not sure if they still have it. I normally ...

Re: If you don't build it they won't come.

A ton of people are starting to like hoppy beers, mainly because they now exist here. Hawaiian Style IPA and Mad Tom. Harvest Ale has that added earthy herbal funkiness that might really get some people hooked. Actually, anything Muskoka. I was concerned that since a few of the guys are strictly Co...

I solemnly swear to intro all my friends to craft beer this way in the future.
That would certainly work for one of my friends.

Thanks for the suggestions. I wasn't sure if I should do a wide variety of beers or just a select few, but I'm leaning more towards after a number of different ones.

I've been meaning to check out Smashbomb myself, so I'll definitely be picking that up.

Intro to craft beer

I'm having a few friends over next weekend and I want to introduce them to craft beer. Being fairly new to the craft beer experience myself I though I would solicit some help. Lately I've been drinking Muskoka Harvest Ale, Mad Tom, and Southern Tier IPA. What would you guys suggest as good intro bee...

I've been drinking a lot of the Muskoka Harvest Ale lately, would anyone be interested in the bottles for their home brew?

I currently have 8 empties and I have another 6 that are still full.
