A little update: connecting through Cleveland and was happily welcomed by a Great Lakes brew pub here at the airport. Currently enjoying a great pint of Commodore Perry IPA.

Going to hit the Whole Foods before checking in to the Wynn.

Stay tuned...

A little help: Las Vegas edition

So me and some friends are going to Vegas tomorrow for a "conference" and I was hoping to do some beer shopping. I've read the BA guide to Vegas and have some ideas, but has anyone here done this first hand?

Any and all insight is greatly appreciated

[quote="TheBeeraholic"][quote="Belgian"]I'm pulling a Gary right now - blending St Bernardus Abt 12 about 4:5 ratio with Mikkeller Frelser Doppelbock. The 2005 St Bernie is getting along just fine, it's just a little sweet and simple. The Frelser has a nice 'edge' and some hop dr...

In the midst of a Los Angeles and area jaunt: Just finished my first Pliny the Elder. Another in the fridge and I think I'll go stock up at the nearby Whole Foods before leaving. Also just polished off a RR Damnation. Have also had a few new (to me) treats on this trip: Stone IPA, Ruination, Firesto...

Ft. Lauderdale beer order - a little help?

Hi all, My dad is down in Ft. Lauderdale and agreed to do some beer shopping for me. The best place near him appears to be Total Wine and their beer list is rather lengthy: http://www.wineaccess.com/file/store/totalwine/beer-totalwine-fortlauderdale.pdf Being still quite new to craft beer, choosing ...

Got my bottle today - quite impressive to behold. Initially told it would take 3-6 weeks. I'm a little confused about one thing, though: the note affixed to the bottle makes reference to a specially designed glass for the beer yet does not give any particulars about its attributes or where to get it...

Just picked up some Peche Mortel at Queen and Coxwell which, don't faint, is not listed online.

And I happened to pop into the Leaside store earlier today as the website listed six of the packs. Nowhere to be found.

My first bottle of Porter Baltique. Very, very good. One descriptor that I've always found challenging is "mineral." While I have had my share of beers with this characteristic, this is the first time that I find it utterly appealing. In fact, squeezing out this attribute (amongst everythi...
