Re: What're you drinking right now?
I too am drinking a Fuller's IIPA. This is absolutely terrific. The only complaint is the pepper that they added is a little too strong for me. I am going to try and find more of this.

GLB Tetrahedron Belgian Quad (Rum Barrel Aged)
I picked this beer up at Great Lakes Brewery in Etobicoke. It has a dark brown colour between a triple and a typical quad, so it is lighter than usual. There is almost no head to this one. Aroma of rum, orange candy, and chocolate. I can taste rum, brown sugar, molasses, with some earthiness in the ...

Re: Beau's and a Bust
Regarding Beau's prices. I was under the opinion that they use organic ingredients. This could account for the higher than average price, and for some they may be willing to pay for it based only on that. That being said, I haven't tried a Beau's in a long time, since they did not impress me in the ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
In Normandy, I am drinking a local brew called Northmen Biere Brune by Ferme Brasserie La Chapelle. There is lots of malt complexity, with plenty of roasty coffee notes, chocolate, raisin etc. Half way between a double and a stout, I would recommend it.
Also, I have enjoyed some local cidre here.

Avling Brewery
I just got back from this Toronto (Leslieville) brewery on Queen East. It has opened at the beginning of July, so it is fairly new. https://www.avling.ca/ I had the Epserta (Hoppy Belgian Ale) and the Avling IPA. I also got to taste the Avling Saison, Pilsener, Galette (Buckwheat Sasion), and Brevis...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
At bier markt, I retried a favourite Boon Kriek. To my disappointment, it it now a sweet lambic with not nearly the complexity I rememer it having. I will have to remember to avoid their regilar lineup now. At Wvrst, I had a glass of Cascade Kriek. Good, but could be more complex. So far I liked Cas...

Re: Lions de Suduiraut 2014 Sauternes
Château Suduiraut - Lions de Suduiraut 2014 Sauternes Opens with a great aroma and thick gold pour. Faint petrol, tart-sweet apricot, pineapple. Taste acidic dry apricot, lychee and pale tropical fruit, minerally petrol and honey, sweet marmalade citrus, dry flower petal. Delicious, big long flavor...

Re: Cowbell Brewing
Couldn’t find a Cowbell review thread so I’ll place this here: I’ve been to Cowbell 3 times now. Each time I’ve been impressed with the atmosphere and food, and the beers have been decent if a bit tame. Overall it’s been a positive experience. However when I was there last Sunday I went to the beer...

Re: What're you drinking right now?
Muskoka Black Raspberry Thunder Milkshake IPA is similar to the Kawarthas ice cream that it is named after. It has a strong vanilla and black raspberry component, tasting like the ice cream. However, for an IPA I would like it to be hoppier.
