Hang on a second here. If Canada has a beer drinking culture who do not know the difference between an Oktoberfest Maerzen and the yellow thin fizzy swill the corporate brewers sell, and the Ontario market consists almost entirely of consumers who are card carrying members of this Canadian beer drin...

It'll be nice to have the option to buy either. Agreed, 750 mL of 9% ABV la Fin du Monde (which they definitely will stock) packs quite a wallop. Whether either format has a functional advantage, I'll defer to the experts to explain.

I also noticed in their current beer push that they had some posters up on a UNibroue display with 750ml bottles pictured! Perhaps I'm a bit slow on this one, having ignored the summer releases until now....but I just did a search for Unibroue. LCBO shows both the 750ml Blanche and Maudite in their...

I once ordered a 6 and after the guy at the front requested it from the back through the microphone, everyone there could clearly here the guy in the back loudly utter an expletive that rhymes with puck. Apparently the funny french beer with the flying horse isn't kept in a very convenient location ...

It's a dark, complex beer with notes of dried fruit and spice. The brewery says four spices are used. Although they don't specify which ones, the most obvious – and traditionally Belgian – is coriander. There are also hints of orange peel and clove. Other possible candidates are cardamom and anise,...

Canned Fuller's London Porter

I noticed that the lcbo is now also listing the Fuller's london porter in a 500 mL can. Is anyone aware of whether the canned version will replace the bottle? Or whether it's a 'canned draught' version? Either way, it'd be interesting to do a side-by-side between both versions to see what, if anythi...

I suppose it wouldn't be asking too much for more of the Unibroue products...750's of Trois Pistoles and the other ones that we used to be able to get would be fantastic. Chambly is just a few hours down the road for pete's sake. Saison Dupont was delisted without too much adieu. With that there are...
