Re: Bellwoods Brewery

My SO stopped by around 1:30 and they were just putting bottles out. Did a bit of sleuthing on the Bellwoods site and found this product page for it (edit: hah, and just after I posted this it went live) It's called Double Polaris, it's 8% ABV, and the bottles are $6.50 ea. http://bellwoodsbrewery.c...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

In the past they've released stuff in the shop without putting it on their site right away (to my dismay). This might be one of those, but I haven't been by today (clothes are still drying out from my unfortunately timed bike ride into work today). Also, according to their twitter there's a 1 case l...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I just had the Gingerhead Stout tonight (happy stout day!) and I didn't really like it too much. It reminded me a lot of spiced ales which I'm not fond of. I didn't have any trouble finishing it though, it just wasn't my kind of beer.

Ooooh, nice. I wish they'd update all of their social media accounts when they announce releases like this. I generally miss some because I don't check Twitter/Instagram/Facebook religiously throughout the day and things get lost in the flood of other posts. Not to be cheeky, but we did... :D Actua...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

To be honest I preferred it with a little age on it but it was also great fresh. Just picked up my allotment of 3 Minutes to Midnight. There were only maybe 15 people in line around 11:00 but the majority of them seemed to be grabbing the full 8 bottles. They also still had the Barrel Aged Monogamy ...

New details for the Lambda release this Friday: Lambda, our brett barrel aged quad will be released in bottles on Friday at 11am. Complex, rich, and full-bodied with subtle brett aromatics, notes of sherry, red grape, raisin, and caramel -- at 12% it's a beer to get you through the winter ahead. 1 y...

3472 bottles according to the Barn Owl #2 label, so you're probably right.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Yeah I think you'll be fine. The bottle says 3585 bottles and it's not a big name release so I'd imagine it'll last a couple days. I was there around 11:15 picking up mine and there wasn't anyone else there getting bottles.

Considering that night there's also a Jays game, you might be out of luck, but I think it'd be a great idea for a bar to show both.

Oooooh, nice. I bought a bottle last year and just cracked it open a few weeks ago. So delicious.

Decided to start making room in the cellar last night: Bellwoods Motley Cru 2015 Dieu du Ciel Aphrodisiaque The Motley Cru's flavours have definitely faded from the original (as expected). Still though, there's a sharp sour taste upfront which smooths out quickly. The Dieu du Ciel was bottled way ba...

Agreed, I thought it was fantastic. I'll be stocking up again when the new one comes out.

Still have an old one in the fridge, so it'll be interesting to do a side by side comparison.
