Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Had the Scotch Bonnets Skeleton Key today and was very impressed. I've had a number of stouts with pepper in them, and I think that this is in my top 2 or 3. The pepper is so nicely integrated that it just warms the palate enough to let you know its there, without being the major focus. The sweetnes...

Re: Online Brewery sales

I've ordered both from Half Hours on Earth and Small Pony. The beers were fabulous. Shipping proved very easy, and I thought reasonably priced. HHoE will be able to send you more beers than Small Pony, but that's largely due to the format (cans vs. 750s). I would certainly order from both of them ag...

Re: Witchstock 2018

Seems that it sold out in less than a minute. clicked "buy tickets" right at 10, and was nearly immediately told it was sold out.

To those that go, enjoy!

Re: Getting beer back from Belgium?

If you're going to declare it, why not just check a box of beer? I'd thought about that but my main concern would be breakage. Not really. On the few times I've flown with beer, I would wrap things in socks and tee shirts and whatnot, use what you've got in other words augmented with whatever bags ...

Re: Getting beer back from Belgium?

This is good to know - thanks you two.

Would you recommend that I bring packing supplies like bubble wrap if I'm going to buy an extra suitcase?

Getting beer back from Belgium?

I'm going to be in Belgium in May and I've been wondering about the best way to get beer back to Ontario. I thought I'd ask those of you that have went how you've typically done it. Do you mail it back? Bring it in your luggage? I was really hoping to somehow get as much beer back as possible, as I ...

Re: Small Pony Barrel Works

Thanks for the feedback guys. I looked at ordering 6 bottles to Etobicoke and it was only $16 or so in shipping. Seems reasonable. I'll give em a try!

Re: Small Pony Barrel Works

I hadn't heard of them up until I saw this post. Looking online it certainly looks promising and I am glad that the beer is in 750 formats. How is their stuff?

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Had Bellwoods' three different Monogamy's tonight. Drank them simultaneously. The Galaxy was by far my favourite, followed by Wakata and then distantly Motueka. I think that the Galaxy had such great depth of flavour - bitter and beautiful tropical fruit. The Motueka I felt was more banana like and ...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I love the regular SK this year - had the coconut and the coffee ones at the release/holiday party and I felt that both the coconut and coffee flavours, respectively, were overpowering to the already excellent beer. Perhaps with age it would be better integrated. I passed on the variants.

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

I'm drinking de la Muerte and it's delicious. Would highly recommend. The spiced pepper aspect of the brew is amazingly well integrated.

Barncat's lucent. It's absolutely delicious. If you like hibiscus in beer, this is a must have.

Thanks for posting the picture. - I couldn't find anything on their instagram.

The glasses do look awesome. I hope it is one glass. Can't wait for SK.

Great news about Barn Owl. Plenty to go around.

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

I checked their instagram and twitter and can't find anything skeleton key related (glass or beer release). Would someone kindly post a link?
