Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

We need a Beer Store like we need a Toothpaste Store. Loved this short & sweet Globe editorial: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/editorials/monopolies-theyre-not-just-for-beer-anymore/article21203894/ " “End the monopoly” has somehow morphed into “milk it.” We thought free marke...

I never got a chance to make it out today. How did it turn out? The event itself was really well-planned, and for $5 they'd send a van to your house to pick you up and then drop you back off at the end of the night. Unfortunately, the beer selection wasn't all that great. Most of the breweries had ...

There are kinds of blue glass (such as http://www.matweb.com/search/datasheettext.aspx?matguid=fcbd5768c6fe4d698c9cb3eb57eb17b4) that block UV rays. Maybe that's what they're planning? Maybe....yeah, probably not. Haha either way, the bottle design screams emphasis on marketing. brew brews blue bre...

Planing on making my way out there. Does any anybody know the actual number of breweries attending? Three on that list aren't open yet. The Mug Run page says 11 breweries will be participating: Lonsbery, Block 3, Railway City, Forked River, Thornbury, Midian, Flying Monkeys, Bayside, brew, Highland...

Did I read here somewhere that there was another chili beer coming to the LCBO, and is it there now? I have bee quite busy over the past month or so and have not been paying much attention to new arrivals. I would love it if some you can recommend some 'must buys' for me to seek out, rather than ha...

So, your saying you have CD 10 to trade? I don't buy to trade. But sometimes it happens by accident. This is not one of those times. All that gas money and duty going to add to my personal hype of the CD10(s). ISO: 1 x CD10; FT: 3 x Lake Of Bays NHLA Cujo Imperial Golden Ale Fair trade, $4$,...

I've been a few times, but since I grew up in that neck of the woods I may be biased. Brian is a pretty mild guy compared to a lot of locals. Ha, I really didn't have a problem with Brian or my experience there - the people are definitely friendly and super accommodating (I believe it was either a ...

I "toured" the Highlander facility a year ago and, unfortunately, there wasn't much worth seeing! Or tasting, IMHO (though that could have had something to do with the ice cold temperature of the samples being poured straight from the tank). Pros: Brian Wilson - the brewmaster, and only pe...

Is Brewvault for mobile only? Call me old-fashioned, but I'd actually prefer to use a PC for this kind of stuff!

I too wanted to be able to put in different things like is for trade, price paid, etc. Now that you mention it, I see that The Beer Exchange doesn't allow you to include things like "price paid" in a beer entry. It doesn't even look like there's a place to enter the age of the bottle. Bot...
