Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Went to my local in Hamilton and no ST.....but I did pick up a lone 6 pack of Rogue Dead Guy (only one left in the store?). Kind of wierd considering it doesn't come up on the LCBO web site. One of the LCBO guys printed me up inventory info on ST (Quantity on hand, on hold and on order etc). To answ...

The beauty of Molson stock is that when you go to boring bars that only have Guiness, Kieths and Stella on tap, you can still get a bottle of stock ale to make the night almost salvagable (at least in the Hammer). Of course, your friends who think they know a lot about good beer raz you for dinking ...

Made the trip into TO last night (unfortunately, one day early for the ST release) and picked up County Durham Signature Ale based on things I've read on The Bar Towel. Drinking my first now and to say I'm impressed would be an understatement. I love West Coast PA's and this, in my opinion, competes...

I know I'm a newbie and all and I understand that this is a website related to ALL things beer, but I'd rather read about actual beer than peoples beefs with all the little things peripheral to their enjoying a good brew. And yes, I know, if I'm not interested, then I can just not read those posts.....

Yes the LCBO is not prefect but this thread isn’t going to change the ideological standpoint of either side that is bitching at each other. Do monopolies suck? In some ways, sure, but here is what I do know…. privatization wouldn’t naturally solve all our problems. I was in Calgary when Alberta priv...

I agree with most that Weihenstephaner is a pretty decent hefe weissbier, and, yes, it is no Denison's. That said, if it come down to products available at the LCBO, I'll take a Schneider Weiss over the Weihenstephaner most days for the very lack of complexity others have already mentioned. I will s...

Had a Duchy Organic Ale with dinner tonight......left over from the winter and only average. However, I drank a few Bell's Hopslam's this weekend that I brought back from Kalamazoo. Those may down-grade every thing else I'll be drinking this week.

Just picked up Samuel Adams Summer Ale at the Dundurn LCBO in Hamilton this afternoon. Hopefully Southern Tier isn't too far off.

I've been noticing that most LCBO's are a little low right now......hopefully anticipating the new summer releases coming soon. I was at the LCBO on Columbia in Waterloo this morning specifically to pick up Sgt. Major IPA, which I never, ever see in Hamilton. Nice selection overall. It was great to ...
