I was lucky enough to be in Hamilton last night and stopped in to the Judge to try the cask Dogsbody. It is delicious! Reminded me of Donnington BB. A tremendous addition to the Ontario beer scene. Any chance it will show up at the Blue Meaney or elsewhere in Big Smoke?

I think the idea of a separate forum for "beer lists" is a great one too and I would use it regularly. Just my two cents.

I'm not sufficiently versed in these matters to be able to tell the difference between a tight and loose sparkler, to be honest. But it's definitely a sparkler - a black gizmo has been screwed on to the end of the tap, which produces a glass full of foam which settles, over a minute or so, into beer...

Stopped by the Blue Meaney for a pint of the cask Corporal Punishment - as delicious as ever. Noticed a recent change though. They've added sparklers, or widgets, to the two taps that serve the cask-conditioned ale. Might have been my imagination, but I also thought the cask ale was colder than on p...

Can you let us know when the first of these two casks will be tapped? Looking forward to it.

That's very interesting. Does anyone know where Brakspear beers have been brewed since the closure of the Henley brewery? I was over to Oxfordshire in August 2003 and I thought the Brakspear Bitter and Special were still quite good and pretty close to my recollection of the original.

Doesn't the Granite Brewery have a nice selection of keg sizes available in their new retail store? Pretty sure they do.

I must disagree. It has an unusual, yeasty flavour to be sure, but I think it is quite delicious and reminiscent of some English cask-conditioned ales (as it should be, being bottle conditioned). Not sure the flavour profile is traditional stout/porter, but to me it's one of the best of the release....

I successfully purchased some Burton Porter at the Wilson and Bathurst store. The fellow there, who seemed reasonably knowledgable, said they "hoped" to receive more of the release either Tuesday or Friday.

Yes, I notice that this afternoon the Sam Smith Stout has also come up on the LCBO web site (about 20 stores province-wide, none in Toronto so far).

Has anybody seen any of this yet in the Toronto area? The only one that comes up on the LCBO web site is the Burton Bridge Porter. I also happened to be in the Atrium LCBO yesterday, but nothing there.
